Don’t forget who loves ya Bo!

You’re an All-Star because Canucks fans thought you deserved it.

don't let it go to your head though, they almost voted in rory fitzpatrick.

Both players are severely flawed, thats really the truth of the matter. I think Miller makes his linemates better, where Horvat is often a blackhole for his wingers. Millers inability to play C this year could be a major issue. Miller last year is a better player than Bo this year, hes a more dynamic player overall. Bo has completely lost the edge he played with earlier in his career. Miller has 99 hits to Bo's lacklustre 37. You gotta think Millers 13% shooting percentage will climb, and Bo's almost 22% will drop.

No it's not. That's like saying a Toyota Camry is severely flawed as a sports car. They're different kinds of players that don't even play the same way. Flaws, sure, but severely? Come on.

I can't see LA having the mindset that they realistically have a shot at making a deep cup run, and if they do, I'm not sure if Demko would even be their best option. I can see a handful of teams catching and passing them before the deadline. Keep in mind teams behind them have as many as 5 games in hand to make up the 5 points separating them.

Anything can happen. Like LA winning the cup in 2012 despite being one of the bottom teams in scoring in the regular season

Sure, but they acquired Jeff Carter and Mike Richards at the deadline that year, so the whole regular season goal scoring is kind of a moot point.

Really? You don't think Millers attitude this year would warrant the label? It's been the most talked about issue since the first week of the season. Horvat's seemingly inability to propel any of his linemates forward. Bo's lack of effort on back checks/line changes has been just as unsettling as Millers, but for whatever reason he often gets a free pass because he's punching above his weight in the goals department.

Playing Devils Advocate, It helps Ottawa the team has the same name and they played in the NHL from 1919 to 1934. So it's not wrong. But that's kinda like

Winnipeg claiming they were World Champions when they won the AVCO cup 3 times in the WHA.

I think the "severely" label is overblown, which leads the rest of your argument to go astray.

Haha, the best thing they could think up to say about the Canucks is "Established in 1970". Woohoo, we were established once!!

I agree. Having watched interviews with Horvats reaction it’s pretty obvious jr is playing hardball  and it looks like, a be careful what you ask for situation. and if they can do it to the capt.  Who’s arguably more  or as popular as miller. Then they can do it with anyone.

You figured all that out from watching Horvat interviews?

And If I were a miller proponent,  and  if miller doesn’t address the deficiency’s and the pouty attitude,  in his game, then there’s cold comfort in him not being considered trade bait.

That's a lot of 'ifs'.  Do we know for certain if Miller was ever shopped around ?

When putting into context the return for horvat that they received for the money and term they didn’t  have to shell out, Then why would they look at millers money and term any different?  They wouldn’t. Because it’s pretty clear they were, satisfied with the return on horvat. Given the two players production levels going off this year. The only thing that bodes in millers favour staying versus being traded is they probably get less in return in comparison to what they received with horvat. A sort of job security and not in a good way.  Especially given that there running out of time to move him when the next contract kicks in. Which failing any improvement makes him even less marketable after July 2023

Miller was signed last summer, before the current season.  I think the management thought they could

sign both, but then Bo had such a great season this year and his value shot up along with his $ demands.

We'll never know what Miller's return would have been.  Given his performance since joining the Nucks, along with

his incredible season and the fact that he had a year before UFA, I would think his value would be higher than Bo's.

Now I'm not that big of a fan of Drance most of the time but on this segment he seems to have, what he thinks, is a cautionary plan to take this team forward, and

although he doesn't push the phrase tanking for the future, it does lead one in that direction. I wish he had of went a little further as to just how many deals and who.

He suggested a few.

According to Donnie, Drance looks like Pitbull...

Completely wrong. Miller's lack of effort is off the charts to the point it gets played in highlights around the country. What are you guys watching? :picard: lol

We even lose at that considering the jets technically have been established twice! How fitting <_<

Dance was right about the Horvat trade making us worse for the next 2-3 years, in a vacuum. Also agree that trading Demko will signal a longer process, and whatever trades we make now will be very telling as to JRPA’s plans.

Would love for management to give an updated target timeline for being competitive. Call it 25/26, so we can make moves accordingly, and the fan base can set their expectations.
