Nucker 67
Hoping JR/PA do another deal soon. I imagine other teams that are tanking, such as CHI, CBJ and ANA, may sell off assets at the TDL (to get a bit worse)

Boeser retained to NJ for Holtz or Mercer would be nice. Haven’t wrapped my head around a Demko trade just yet…

And the first rolls to next year and the Islanders are even worse, and is a top five pick. Okay. I like that! Thanks Bo! You see we CAN NOT LOSE in this scenario. JR/Allvin made a brilliant trade.

Bo will help the Islanders enough to stay above the 12OA, but it's not enough to make the playoffs. Bo wants to move on. Lou becomes a lame duck at TDL: everyone knows how desperate he will be: has to get something...ANYTHING or he gets nothing at all. After that disaster, he gets fired. No that's priceless!

I also think Petey and Huggy will become even more polished, honing their crafts, focusing on the details of the game. I am excited for the rest of this season, simply to see how the boys respond and who Tocchet thinks is a keeper for this team going forward! I certainly hope so. If we don't see the changes in Miller, he might become the most despised long-term Canuck in Canucks history.

Considering Miller is an 80 point player and Bo is a 60 point player, and Miller is better defensively, and plays nastier, I’d say we made the right choice of the two. Bo at 8 per or Miller at 8 per? It ain’t even close. See ya Bo! Edited February 4 by Alflives
Harold Drunken
1 hour ago, J-Dizzle said: My comment was simply that I wouldn’t be surprised if he showed he could excel as a two way centre in the mold of Bergeron/ROR on a defensive minded team. He’s a competitive guy and a good athlete. Wow, you know what I’m saying better than I do. That’s stinking impressive! What I thought I was saying was that on a defensive structured team Bo might embrace the type of role a guy like Bergeron or ROR does for their respective teams… a two way centre who excels at both end of the ice. I obviously made a huge mistake in thinking the word ‘type’ could extend beyond a direct and absolute comparison in skill rather than a stylistic comparison in play. nonetheless, I apologize and bow down to your superior mental acuity. I agree his production will drop. I do think he may surprise people in Vancouver with his ability to play a matchup two way centre game, but we will see for sure.

I also specifically said that I'm hoping Tocchet is good for Miller and his attitude and play improves. There are already a lot of fans that are displeased with Miller due to his tendency to create turnovers and give up on plays. No one is questioning his ability to be a game changer when he actually tries. But if Miller plays out his full contract with the Canucks then he will end up right around Burrows in games played and just behind Naslund and Steamer. If Miller doesn't address his attitude and his points start falling off in a couple years, there is going to be a lot of fan displeasure.

Bo is a 50-60 point player. He was demanding a gross overpayment in a contract. We got a fabulous return. We win. Don’t be so sure, I am leaning towards him being traded again , but Lou didn’t really move anyone off his roster to acquire the upgrade at Center. Thiis could have a great positive impact for the Isles.

Both are good players and we had to move on from one for the retool. we ended up trading a player that got us more back in return.
SilentSam
wish I lived a bit closer to Abby,. Really wish we could put this team in the Old Coliseum , it really is a beautiful barn, just needs a good power washing and some architectural lighting. A poster put u a chart earlier proving Miller is better. Go back and look. Bo is on another team now. To me, a true Canucks fan who hates all others, Bo is dead. Long live the Canucks! We are great! M-5 is great! To hell with other teams and their fans. Bo is now a hated enemy.
