You actually think someone’s gonna offer him a 4 year contract?!?

He’ll be lucky to get a 1 year one way contract for league min…

Sam would have signed him to 8x8 if he had his way.

OEl got a 2+ million

Klingberg got 4+ million

Pouliot got a gd contract ffs

GMs will look at a 250 pound RHD that can skate, good ornot and give him $4 million on a one year without question.

Those are NHL players.

Tryamkin is not. ;)

Pouliot...really?

Exactly. There is literally nothing that Pouliot possesses in his skill set that Tryamkin couldn’t literally and figuratively eclipse.

Yet, he hasn’t.

Over 200 NHL games vs Tryamkins 79.

So Virtanen is an NHL player ?

If Tryamkin would have stayed in the west he'd have eclipsed that very easily.  He didn't.  But to suggest he wouldn't be offered a large contract for his body of work simply based on his size and skating ability is just ignorance at best, or sour grapes at worst.

More of one than Tryamkin.

Why would a player get a huge contract based on 79 games? Sam? Is that you?

This has Chicago written all over it.

You new here?

Remind me again how GMs don't overpay players.  Isn't there an ongoing series of conversations between multiple threads about Gms overpaying players without much of a body of work?  Or in free agency ?

I state again and I'll die on this hill.  Anyone who thinks Tryamking wouldn't get a solid contract in a show me deal or with term is either ignorant or is just bitter.

GMs would 100% pay him.  A 250+ pound RHD that can actually skate is a rare animal in this league

Would he worth a flyer to a GM if they had cap space? Sure. But there's a difference between a player who's a fast skater and one that has the caveat "He has good speed for his size." The way some here gush over him, you'd think he was Zdeno Chara or Bobby Orr.

If he had more than 79 games you'd be on to something he hasn't earned an overpayment yet and any GM who gives him one is a moron. 1 year 900k-1.1mill should be the signing cost.

If you can''t see the proven difference between OEL and Klingberg and Tryamkin then wow :picard:

Riiight.

A lot of assumptions there.

A guy like Sustr is better than Tryamkin and he’s barely hanging on in the league year after year. To suggest Tryamkin is an NHLer based on his size is what’s ignorance.
