He also still outright refuses to backcheck or break a sweat in the playoffs. His floating has been a big part of the reason that competing hard is optional in Toronto.  The criticism will continue until he decides he cares about winning and starts putting in an acceptable effort.

Nylander plays for the name on his back and not the crest on the front.  He's out for points only, because he knows that's how to make the biggest payday. I'd rather have an overpaid Tavaras, who at least plays like he cares about his team, then William "Double Flamingo" Nylander.
