teepain
Marco rossi greenway 2nd 2023 for boeser 50%
NUCKER67
I think the Canucks would be lucky to get just Greenway and a 2nd for Boeser. Retaining $3.3 for the next 2 seasons is a lot. Maybe? to MIN - Boeser (25%) to VAN - Greenway and a 3rd Boeser's value has dropped a lot. But maybe Greenway would play well under Tocchet and the Canucks grit factor would increase. higgyfan
Love this trade, but I suspect that the Wild want to keep Rossi(9OA). He may be short, but he is almost 190lbs and has a similar skill set to Point. He's dominating in the AHL and would likely be on the NHL team, but for missing a year due to myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle). I don't think the Wild will want to let go of Greenway. They have +$10m in cap space, so they really don't need to dump any of their players. My guess is that if the Canucks want to Rossi, they will have to add to any trade. Brock (2M retained) + Karlsson + 2nd for Rossi
The Lock
I have a hard time seeing Rossi being traded for Boeser even straight up, let alone in a trade like this to be honest.

Brock (2M retained) + Karlsson + 2nd for Rossi They are actually shopping Greenway per Russo - they need his cap space for next season. They only have 9.3M in cap space with a roster of 15 next season (1M increase to the cap already factored in). They can't add a contract like Boeser's even at 50% retained or they won't be able to ice a team. Guerin was just on Russo's podcast where he stated that they are not at the stage where they are willing to move prospects. The Wild have a combination of Sam Steel, Ryan Hartman and Freddy Gaudreau playing C1/C2. It doesn't seem all that likely that they would trade their best prospect who just happens to be a C for a winger when C is a major need. J.I.A.H.N
Greenway + 2023-1st for Boeser 50% retained + 2024-4th Even still...do we really want Greenway and his 6 points? @ $3,000,000 per X 3? Edited February 10 by J.I.A.H.N
DownUndaCanuck
Don't want Rossi, go after Faber. Former 2nd rounder, almost a PPG in American College hockey, solid RD. They'd need to cap dump though and Dumba's really fallen out of favour so how about: Boeser + Schenn + pick (2nd? 3rd?) for Dumba + Faber Schenn replaces some minutes on defence, they get their man Boeser and we get a solid defensive prospect we need, Dumba probably walks in the off-season but if he surprises everyone with a change of scenery, we could re-sign him.
