As I have said for the last two years... this team does not lack firepower... even with Horvat gone we can score.

What it lacks is a competent D-Core... that is what needs addressing.

If we had a competent set of defensemen, we would be in the playoffs, even with Martin and Delia.

One of the big reasons Delia and Martin are not playing particularly well is they are shell-shocked from having the number of give-aways and lack of D-coverage.

What concerns me is I am still waiting for management to make room the defensive upgrades the team needs.

There are two ways to do that.... trades for D assets, or trades that dump CAP.

Right now I am seeing nothing like that happening.

Fixed it

Don't think Isles will catch Pittsburgh so can only hope Ovi gets injured right away and Tampa's entire first line goes on LTIR.

We don't want them to make the playoffs we want them to just miss by a few spots.13th from the bottom

Hahah I was dying watching Bo have to answer about blowing that game against us. All the classic lines got busted out. You could see the embarrassment in him

No hard feelings Bo it's just business bud. Not your fault Miller is clearly the better 2C and EP is light-years ahead in terms of 1C :bigblush:

Excellent post!  Still waiting for all those Bo fans, who clearly aren’t Canuck fans to post something. Miller, Petey, Beau were way better than Horfat. Oh, and Brock had four points!

Trade to dump cap means we have to give up sweetener. No thanks.

No one is giving us good defenceman for our “assets”.

Rebuilding defense takes time.

Some fans seem to want them to make it and play really well to stick it to management I guess?

Doesn’t make sense to me. Next season I could care less about them but when our draft pick is literally tied to how well they do why would you cheer for them?

Horvat was pretty decent in the OZ. Didn't really notice him much else. But that's just the difference. You notice Miller and EP all night.. Good or bad. You never notice Bo. He's just a safe quiet player

Good thing we got away from that type of leadership and coaching though. We needed accountability not moral victories

He deserves it for sure. I just don't know that he needs that burden on his shoulders....let him be our shining star. Get another guy to be spokesman. Especially with how ruthless the media here can be at times.

Exactly. In that last interview, he said he doesn’t want it yet
