Wasn't he -3? But yeah...he was not very good

Thanks, officially you are correct but when you look at the score sheet (at the top of page 1 of this post) it shows he was on the ice for 4 of Detroit goals - including both Larkin's goals, Lindstrom and Suters goals and not on for the Canucks only goal, so how did he end up with minus -3 instead of Minus -4?

For someone who posts a lot about the +/- of players, you’d think you might understand how it works!

One of Larkins goals was on the PP.

One of the goals he was on ice for was while the Canucks were on the PK. But yeah, he was on ice for 4 goals against...in only 17:17 of ice time

The darker side of a prolonged skid.
This is the cost of being bad.
This is the cost of picking top 3.
Edmonton, Chicago, Tampa, LA, Buffalo, Ottawa, even Detroit recently have all been through this type of extensive losing. Some have turned it around into championships. Some have turned it around and can now at least compete. And others…

The media availability stuff must add an extra slab of brutality on top of the results.
I know this isn’t a popular opinion but no team can win in front of this goaltending.
Coach is going to fully lose this team if he’s not able to figure it out.

Stillman was a +1.  Gotta give credit where credit is due.  With 6 goals against, he was the only + player...

OEL on the other hand, my Lord.  Would he even crack the Abby lineup?

Did OEL even have a hit or blocked shot tonight? 17:17 of ice time...4 goals against, -3...but made $100k in salary this game...

OEL was a whopping Minus -3 in this game.

He is now the 13th worst +/- player in the entire National Hockey league out of almost a thousand players!

wave him and send him to the minors...

Yeah the players need to learn defence from that new voice, mike yeo. Beyond insane that he's not seen as part of the problem.

Feels like tocchet is already being tuned out but then maybe its intentional to get everyone to leave.

Tank goes on either way.

This is what the punishment will be in tomorrow's practice. ;)

Miller was like - "hold my beer" - blue line to blue line is for pussies let's go to the goal line.

There’s Miller who beat everyone. According to Alf he’s out of shape but now that Horvat has been traded, he’s the fat one

Video made me chuckle.   Miller practices like he doesn't want to lose.   Schenn ... old man strength.

is it me, or does he sound very indifferent to what happened tonight?

He made tens of millions losing in Arizona. He’s doing the same here. OEL just doesn’t strike me as a “winner”. Seems like a guy who’s very happy to just show up to work and collect a big paycheck.

Guys on 650 went off again in the post game about OEL being terrible and needing to be bought out. Get a first next season for a one year bad contract with the 7M. Use that 1st as an ELC for 3 years and get a defender for 2M that is as good or better than OEL.

Team needs to drop OEL. Better than using picks to get rid of him.

Why are folks so annoyed about the lack lustre performance?

At this stage of the season and with Horvat having been sold off, surely these games were expected?

Tocchet is teaching the team totally new structures of how to play, so that shouldn't really come as a surprise.

Used to be an anti tanker, cause watching the team losing constantly is tough.
But the whole team needs freshened up, and with the top prices on show, its less painful, knowing we are in on the sweepstakes for a superstar.

Just keep burning the house down, and let us get some proper talent to support QH, Petey and Kuz...

All that matters is a top 6-7 pick and to be in on the sweepstakes for Bedard or Fantili/Calsson.

Guys on 650 also said our owner might not be willing to cut that buyout cheque. They said he should do it, but questioned his willingness to do so. And then added that if the owner was fully committed to winning, he would.

After watching a decade of chasing the middle, I would prefer the team try to add a difference maker through the draft, whilst on an entry level contract. Been watching the CBJ GM for awhile now and he has been doing the samething: depending on the season and the roster needs, he is either chasing a cup or a top 5 lottery ticket vs the middle or NHL PURGATORY.  After adding Gaudreau and Jiricek last year, he is looking forward to adding a franchise type player to his team...

Idk how to tell you this, but this was not by design.
