We caught up with Räty just minutes after his line was on the ice for three goals against in a 7-2 loss to the San Jose Barracuda on Monday afternoon. Our first question was about how he believes his first eight games as a Canuck have gone. “Not great so far,” said Räty. “I’ve been playing horrible. I hope it’s going to get better. To ensure their success. Raty has admittedly said he hasn’t played good. I also think PDG has played decent, this one has caught me off guard. Hope it works out for the kid tho! CRAZY_4_NAZZY Posted February 22, 2023 Share Posted February 22, 2023 (edited) Is waivers still active after the trade deadline? Perhaps he comes back up after that? He has played well and deserves a longer look. I'd imagine they keep him there in Abbotsford to qualify for the playoffs roster (I assume they will paper down Podkolzin, Raty, Brisebois, and Silovs as well on trade deadline day to help qualify them for the AHL playoffs too).
