HKSR
https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/florida-panthers-goaltender-spencer-knight-enters-nhl-nhlpa-assistance-program-1.1923302 Wonder what this means for his future... I think they just re-signed him too. Florida sticking with Bob for now I guess.
Alflives
It's so rare for a young guy to shoulder the #1 goalie spot on a club. Must be a lot of pressure. Who knows what that kind of pressure results in?
Ghostsof1915
Age 21. Yikes. I hope he can get his life together. Hockey is secondary. 1
King Heffy
Glad he's getting the help he needs. Plenty of guys who got through the program who I'm sure would be more than willing to offer him support if he asks as well. Rooting for him to make a full recovery on and off the ice.

Who knows what that kind of pressure results in? True. I've met quite a few guys who were gunning for the NHL, and cocaine, along with heavy alcohol consumption was apparent. They'd played in the ECHL and AHL. Like you said, the pressure, but also the newfound money, plus not knowing how to manage that money. Not making light of the person, but that combination can effect anyone, if you can't keep your wits about you.

Corey Hirsch would be very pleased with him getting the help. Goalies face so much pressure with very few jobs out there, but I think Knight is giving himself the best chance right now by entering the program. 1
