He’s been an elite PKer in junior and scored 12 shorthanded goals his last two seasons (which I believe is tops in the OHL for that time period). Should be a great addition to Abby’s PK.

Hate to break it to you fellas but these aren't playboy centerfolds they're old hockey guys who were GM's, and both are long gone. No need to fawn over either both did some good and some bad. Gillis brought the team close but was given the gift of free spending to the cap for the first time. After our runs I've never seen a GM look so so dazed and confused in my entire life. Needed to find some support for Kesler but could not unravel his spending and NMC's. Benning drafted some great players and made some good moves but got super impatient ... and then OEL and Garland happened.

Either way they are both gone. Just a waste of time arguing who you had a crush on. They are simply business people with no current bearing on our club at all.

Actually we are still dealing with the crap Benning left us... and we are dealing with the good stuff he never left us in our development system since he traded awa y so many draft slots... never mind the entirely effed up cap situation that present ownership is still trying to unravel. When we stop having to deal with the consequences of Benning's actions, that will be time to stop blaming Benning for the mess he left us.

Seems Allvin is targeting young guys who can skate. Bloom is a great skater. Watching Hirose and he’s a great skater. Lots of young guys to compete for jobs.

Yep, Bloom seems to be tailor-made for the kind of role that Tocchet wants his wingers to play.

Wow imagine having an up and coming PK unit working in Abby developing into a future actual good penalty kill with the option if a pker on the big team gets hurt that's there's people who are good at it in Abby to fill in? Perish the thought!

That Josh Bloom is embracing that idea in development camp? Can it be, something actually encouraging?!?

Especially with Bains, who also adds that dimension.

Josh Bloom 20 June 8th --6'2--190lbs - LW - This young prospect has some decent talent.

I like the upside and he has size, develop in Abby as 20 yr old..I am excited about Bloom.

Talked to Buffalo friend and he said they were really up on this kid and hated to see him go. Kind of unicorn in that he has size at 6'2 and 190+ but skates and moves like a smaller guy.  Really good agility and speed. Also not afraid to drop the gloves as can be seen on hockeyfights.com.  I've got high hopes for him and would expect him to be in Abbey top two lines by Christmas

What does he feel that Buffalo is missing going into next year?

They could be the next New Jersey Devils
