Pickly
I imagine the Canucks did him a favour by dealing him to a familiar franchise given the state of family. Wouldn’t be surprised if he re signs here in the off-season. Classic Canuck fans overvaluing their players without having context of what’s actually going on behind the scenes.
Kobayashi Maru
Was hoping for inflated prices on Schenn, but I feel this means a couple things: -We got fair value on what Schenn should go for (2nd or 3rd) -We moved him to a team of his choice given his situation, rather than to anybody who paid the most. -Because we moved him to an eastern team for the run, he has a higher % chance of just coming back to us in the offseason. 1
250Integra
Soooo... Schenn comes back in the off season, signs and gets traded next TDL for more picks. Rinse and repeat?
Conscience
Gross would have rather kept him then him go to leafs barf for that weak return 1

Coconuts
A third is reasonable, it's not where I had his value pegged but it's reasonable. Nice to have another bullet in the draft chamber. Here's hoping he circles back around in July.
Popular Post KoreanHockeyFan
Weren't we all complaining when Benning decided to keep Hamhuis because he was only getting offered a single late-round pick for him before he eventually walked in the off-season? And now we're all complaining for only getting a 3rd for Schenn? CDC never ceases to amaze me.

48MPHSlapShot
If he resigns with us then cool. Other than that this is underwhelming.
Popular Post spook007
Tbh this is what rebuild looks like... you don't get to just trade off the players you dislike.... if you want any sort of return. Schenn knows the score. He's been a journey man for a long time, and he will understand the reasoning behind this. With a bit of luck he'll be back in the Summer on a 2 or 3 year contract. They may already have told him so. So long Schenner... One of my favorite Canucks. If ever anyone had to fight a lonely battle.... DrJockitch
5 minutes ago, Plaguez said: I stand by my original ask, that if the Canucks weren't offered at least a 2nd they should keep Schenn. A 3rd isn't good enough. You take a lesser pick and piss off your best defenseman in Hughes...just, sub par. I think the constant loosing may be more likely to piss him off. Team couldn’t win as structured this is decent asset management. Bring him back and find an actual decent partner for Q in the off-season. (Man how many off seasons have I said that now?)
