[Signing] Red Wings re-sign Dylan Larkin

Good for Detroit. See when it makes sense to sign these types of guys? On the cusp of the playoffs along with a loaded prospect pool and a core of young stars on the current roster?

Wish we learned this prior to the Miller signing not just right after lol

Damn….can we just sign EP40 now. At this rate he’s going to cost us $15mX8

Nope. 11m on the high end. His agent already ruined high dollar negotiations saying barzal is a comp

Petey is a beauty tho, unlike Matthews asking for 16 mil. He seems like the player that knows the ramifications if he signs for that much of the cap and wants to be a winner. I hope anyways lol

Good for DET to keep Larkin. Larkin being re-signed takes one of the most lucrative UFAs off the market this summer.

I would still be surprised at a Miller trade but if teams buy him as a C or at least a top flight forward, then $8M AAV for the next 7-years might actually be what he would have gone for in the UFA market anyway (if not more). There could well still be a market for him.
