[Trade] Coyotes trade Jakob Chychrun to Senators for conditional 2023 1st-round pick, conditional 2024 2nd-round pick, 2026 2nd-round pick

One bad team to another, although the Sens have to be taken seriously now. Had a feeling they were up to something. Good timing for the trade as well, these picks will hopefully be later in the round if they have success. Their forwards are solid, now a great defenceman to add to the pack. They just need a goalie and they're sorted.

Good call

could secure our trade with pits now if it was contingent on them not getting chychrun

Here's hoping

Maybe we'd have been better paying for Chychrun given we'd already committed to at least a 1st and a 2nd

Ahhh well

Basically the same cost as Hronek... that is terrible for us.  Chychrun is cost controlled for three more years and that is worth more than the extra 2nd, as well as him being a better fit for our team needs.

How is another LHD a better fit for our needs?  We have next to nothing on the RHD.

Yes... Chychrun is a much better player, bigger, faster, and better defensively (what we need).  Heck he is a plus player on an awful Arizona team.

He plays on both sides so can play right or left depending on who else we move out.
