Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
It's definitely the trend, eh? Surprisingly a good time for Russians to play in the NHL. I'm sure a cap-strapped team will be happy to take their chances on him for cheap. Look how lucky we got with Kuzmenko.
D.B Cooper
The kid sucks. Luckily much like Tryamkin, Goldy won’t want anything to do with the Canucks. Good riddance and good luck kid. 1 1
hammertime
Hmm this one is interesting. Wow it's been 3 years. I don't think he was mature enough when he was here. He was a kid that was willing to put in work though. He hit the gym hard and took his lumps in the AHL. If nobody snaps him up I'd at least offer him a PTO. Pete liked playing with him too. Lots of kids struggle go back to the K then come back to the NHL grown men and have success.
EternalCanuckFan
I'm sure there could be NHL interest but Goldobin didn't really light the KHL on fire either. Good luck to him if he gets a shot. The Canucks already have a surplus of wingers so I doubt there will be a spot for him here.
-AJ-
36 points in 59 games ain't bad and 39 in 42 the year before is actually impressive, but as always, it will come down to work ethic for him. At 27, he's no longer the young kid and what he is now is what you're gonna get. If he works hard, he could probably be a solid middle six forward, but given his history, that's not a certainty. Dazzle
The naming of this thread made me do a double take because it is virtually identical to the other one.
Kobayashi Maru
I always liked Goldy, but not really what we need unless he’s super cheap and other wingers are moved out. Just blocks spots of guys we have ready to play. Nikita on the other hand….exactly what we need. 1

Jokes aside, Shirokov is surprisingly still a pretty decent player at 37. Probably a decade past any chance of him coming back over here, but he’s made a very nice career for himself in the KHL.
Phil_314
If he proves himself to be a Nichushkin then sure. Otherwise there's no point in adding to the glut of wingers we have here.
fanfor42
Who here watched him live? His work ethic was poor and he was the definition of a seagull. The guy got cut (not re-signed) from the Canucks at a time when we had a really poor team. Absolutely not an NHL player. Hard pass.
