If they have the room or go to the net hard.

Fla had a hard time getting to the net front these last games.

New Jersey has a good mix of players around Bratt, so he doesn't need to be nor is he asked to do the net presence stuff. Cup winning teams are made up of all kinds of players. Not just 6'5 guys all slugging each other in the crease. Tampa had Point and Kucherov. Their lack of size didn't seem to hurt Tampa's cup chances. May as well just trade Kuzmenko and Hughes. They don't have size. Petey too, given he's a stick figure. Not strong enough to get to the front of the net.

Not because z Bratt is small but because he’s a suckaroo. He plays small and out on the perimeter. He’s a friggin’ plsyer on another team! Why in the heck should we Canuck fans like him? He’s small, soft, and scared. He’s a joke. Devilis way overpaid. Not as bad as the Caufield overpay but close.
#hatesllotherclubs!

BTW, Cliff Ronning thinks you’re an idiot.

Cliff Ronning played for us. He can think whatever he wants. As a Canuck fan Alf loves Ronning. And as a Canuck fan Alf hates Bratt. It’s called being a fanatic for a reason. Now go play in the traffic with a blindfold.

Based on previous variety of commentary though you shouldn’t like him because he played for many teams after us.
Isn’t that essentially Alf criteria for denouncing former players/alumni?

This requires some clarification on your part, alien.

If we had two seasons where Hoglander got 73 points, I'd be ok with him getting a big payday too.

Bingo Bango Luongo!

(sorry, went full Larschied. Couldn’t control myself)

Pettersson had the exact same amount of hits as Bratt in the bubble, and he seem to do just fine in the “playoff”. This playoffs, Bratt averaged just about the same amount of hits as Stone, Eichel, and Lundell.

The playoff isn’t just all about physicality. You need a balance of skill, durability, and physicality to be successful in the playoffs.

Petey is bigger and meaner than Bratt. He is not his listed weight anymore. And he has a bit of a mean streak when people try and go after him. Similar to Pavel Bure.

Getting hit from Bratt is alot different than getting hit from Mark Stone. Size maters when you are doing the hitting. Just ask Tkackuk what it feels like to get hit from someone who’s 220lbs.

Sure, you need balance. But New Jerseu doesn’t have that. They would have been completely destroyed if they had played Vegas. Worse than Florida.

Size mattered in the playoffs

Maybe, but it didn't just win the Conn Smythe..

You need size, sure, but everyone doesn't have to be some 6'3" goliath

You need talent and skill too, Bratt has brought that during his early twenties

But only 1 goal in 12 playoff games

Sure, but this won't be the only time the Devils make the playoffs and their top talent, including Bratt, has youth on their side
