I wonder if Chase Priskie is on Benning's radar.  I think he will be be available after August 15th.

RHD PMD all the things we want to add.  Might be redundant with Stecher and now Rafferty, but I don't know. Right shot, 4th most ppg among NCAA defenceman, good enough size.  This would be a great add to our depth and maybe a great signing.

I've mentioned this a few times would be a great pickup for Vancouver if they can get him.

  2. If Chicago retains at least a Million in his salary then it should be considered. His CF for dipped this year but in most year's he's been above 50 percent. I don't think he'd be a huge liability in the defensive zone and he brings some grit.  Getting Byram would be massive for the Canucks.

  3. I'm surprised no one in this string mentioned trying to get Mathieu Joseph from them to take on cap. He looks like a sleeper prospect with a offensive upside. Scored well in very few minutes per game this season. Could take a few steps and become the winger we need.

If Juolevi develops defensively as he should we could see a solid LD lineup in 2-3 years of...

    Hughes

    Juolevi

    Brisebois

    Rathbone

Trade Hutton for a similar calibre D thats a right shot and boom we're looking good. Maybe a trade with Chicago considering their wealth of RD prospects currently. Mitchell or Jokiharju would be nice.

    Hutton for Jokiharju?

Actually sounds like a really good deal...

    My expectations are very achievable.

15 goals, 25-30 points. If it's less but he hits, and is solid defensively and works well with Horvat and Baer that's fine.

    Anything more is gravy.

Looking at the standings to make the playoffs, the Canucks just need to cut down the goals against by 0.5 goals a game. And score 0.5 more goals a game. That will reduce the goals against by 41, and increase by 41.

Eriksson, had the best giveaway/takeway ratio, and can't have a worse season than this year. 20 goals is possible.

    Boeser: 15 goals

    Goldobin: 15 goals

    Boucher: 15 goals

    Sutter: 20

    Granlund: 20

    Horvat: 20

    Baer: 20

Sedins: would average 40 points and can get 10-15, each.

    That alone tallies: 170 goals.

    The Canucks currently have 172.

If the Canucks defence can manage 5-10 goals each that's 30-60 goals.

    That's not including some surprises.

Things might be bleak, but they are certainly getting better.

Horvat and Granny both will score more closers to 25 maybe horvat cracks close to 30 and Reid Boucher is a wild card. He might put up 20 plus with his cannon in the right situation.

And really, those six could go in any order too.  If Colorado gets the first pick maybe they go for Liljegren to help out their horrific d?

If Liljegren goes first it's a win win for vancouver no matter who they select. I think Gabriel Vilardi has the least upside of those 6 and would much rather the canucks take Mittlestadt. That kid brings some serious speed with great hands. I think he'll turn out like McKinnon. A horvat and him combo down the middle is gonna be striking fear into defenders for years to come.
