I mean really, that is to say they can have their likeness perfectly captured in a digital image, encoded and transmitted through satellite and optical fiber to a receiver, then recreated in the recipient's home by a cathode ray tube or liquid crystal display panel, and that likeness is spewing words about how science is evil, the Earth is 10,000 years old and any patriotic American should be ignoring ivory tower academics like the elitists they truly are. This time a Jacksonville police officer who volunteered to assassinate the President and thought dropping a nuclear bomb on the northeastern states that voted for Obama was a great idea. But he was just joking, eh? A police officer who said he would volunteer to assassinate President Barack Obama has quit. Sam Koivisto told the Florida Times-Union on Wednesday that his comments were blown out of proportion and that he’d planned to retire in five months anyway. The 57-year-old retired earlier this month while facing an internal investigation into his comments to other officers after the election. He told them that if an order came to kill Obama, he “wouldn’t mind being the guy.” When questioned by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office integrity unit, he said he also didn’t care if a nuclear explosion killed everyone in the Northeastern U.S because they supported Obama.
