As a fan of the Canuck's it pains me to say they are set for a path of destruction. Mike Gillis's time here should be running out. He has made damaging trades, signed too many no trade contracts hampering his ability to make meaningful trades that could put us on a path to compete moving forward. He hires a coach whose bite is gone from his game. What we have left is not the Torts that we need but a new version who lacks credibility both with his players and the fans. Does he think that anyone can buy the lame statement that he felt Eddie Lack provided the best chance of winning the Classic game. He punished Luongo for going to the Olympics, he showed his true contempt for being passed over as a coach saying he watched the Olympics in passing. Now he has embarrassed him in the same city that threw him under the bus last year after the idiot head coach decided to name Schneider his starter before he earned it. This team will never be successful until they get rid of Mike Gillis and John Torterella. Any trades that these two hatch up will not be good long term.
