    Schneider's 30 years old now. He wouldn't exactly be the goalie of the future for us considering where this team is at. I think we're better off with Horvat, Markstrom, and Demko in the long run.

     

     

    Schieds just turned 27 at time of the trade. that trade was three years ago.

     

    At the time we still had a window with the team we had but after that trade that team was done....luongo was junk with a broken heart wasn't gonna be the same performer in Vancouver than he was two years previous, he needed a change of scenery and wasn't going to get a return with any significance (marky and matthias)

     

    we didn't have demko at the time, he was drafted in 2014

    that's why we can't trade demko, that trade set the franchise back 10 years. BoHo is awesome but having an elite goaltender in his prome and who was way better than luongo. Demko has that chance to be that guy even if he doesn't, at least we tried to develop this guy rather than being traded else where and becomes the next jonathan quick.

    I agree Marky is the one that will be dealt after this season. Miller will be extended for far less and be a good mentor for Demko. Marky can fetch us something and hopefully it will be a few draft picks. Demko is our future and I think he will be the real deal.
