Which player do think we should get for Edler? Possibly even for Kesler?There's no way the Avs trade O'reilly for Edler. He's a 23 yr old kid who is just starting scratch the surface of what he can become. I doubt Eds would wave his NTC anyway. The time has come to make a significant trade but ROR wont be in VCR anytime soon.

Man Edmonton screwed up big time. They didnt draft a good goalie nor a defense all they drafted was offense and secondly they hired a couch that didnt have nhl experience. Im saying we trade 3-4 core parts and keep people like Lu, Bieksa, Burr.ask Edmonton how that works with their ready now prospects and 0 vets...need vets to provide the leadership to the young guns or you become a bigger mess then currently are

It would't take 5-8 because if we trade away Kesler, Sedins, or Edler we are going to get back good prospects that could develop in 1-2 years or be developed. We just have to trade away our top player for good prospects or it may take up to 5 yearsRebuild requires extreme patience and tolerance.
5-8 years of being the leagues punching bag. So we'll be competitive again around 2019-2022, see you then.

I think Kesler will want to move to a team that has a better chance of winning the cup and maybe the Sedins will want to move to but they will be harder too. With Diaz coming to this team, I think one of our D-man (Edler, Bieksa or Garrison) can be moved now. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't trade Kesler but Edler and Burr is a possibility.i would love to see a retool .. trade kes and elder .. maybe burr if you can fetch some good prospects ... just give this city some hope for the future .. we are an apathetic bunch right now

IMO we should trade Edler for a center like RoR or someone else so we could put Kesler with the Sedins because the Sedins need a good RW so they can produce points.

Are you sure? Henrik had a interview done a while ago and said at the endish of their careers both Daniel and Henrik want to play on different teams.they are untouchable because they will not waive ... their next stop is sweden .. fact

Yea management could trade him but who would we get a unproven prospect or a player that isnt better than him? Kesler is one of the best in the league and trading him away may not fetch us someone better than him but on the other hand their are the sedins, we could make a Seguin - eriksson trade, get a young proven player?If management feels this team is another 3-4 years away from competing for a cup absolutely you go and move him. Love him as a player and i really couldn't imagine him on another team but if they are serious about getting younger and changing this core he will bring the best return back and tbh i don't see this team competing for a cup for at least that long.

We cant trade away a player that has a good two way game. If we need to trade to get younger it should be the Sedins because their production is just going to keep going down and we could use some young guns.Kesler rumours heating up. Gillis is dumb to trade him
