meh, its only a short tourney. Boeser still has been lights out in the NCAA. I personally prefer Konecny cos he's related to Horvat right?
-
Snowing in Knoxville, Tennessee. idk if that's of interest to you guys.

Why isn't Tootoo suspended right now?

Kane vs Rollins was awful

No kidding I was just thinking that.. Edler was up there in potential but he's in his prime now and can't get a shot through the Dman to save his life haha
Man I thought Edler was gonna be a Lidstrom lite. Does anyone remember how good he used to be?

I like this one:

Sbisa on Hutton: "He makes it easy. I give him the puck and he skates out of trouble. He has been incredible, better every game." #Canucks

Watched the blood moon with a few friends out in a ditch by a field. My high school/current crush came and watched with us. I hardly said anything to her... man. I wish I had the guts to talk to her about non-joking stuff.
That's the one thing. I'm afraid to talk to this girl about serious, relationship-y stuff because I don't want to screw her up. And I feel like I'll never be able to date anyone else for long because she'll always be in the back of my mind....
I wasted so much time with someone this way. Best to try to talk to her, if she doesn't like you, move on. You'll get over it

Yes I love Kane so much

Are you trolling right now? Krejci scored 73 points in his sophomore season, and would be a 1C on most teams - other than the fact Bergeron is the best two way forward in the game.Seriously? Bo is already a 2C and with the improvement he has made its not far fetched at all to think his offensive ceiling could be higher then we once thought and he could be a first 1C. As for Mac, he's has already impressed and it pretty widely recognized to have 1/2C potential.
Are you sure you know what optimistic means?
PS Horvat definitely isn't a 2C. Are YOU sure you know what a 2C is? Haha.
-
McCann or Horvat could both be our #1 / #2 centres in the mold of the 2011 Bruins. Their play will decide which is playing where.
Uhhh... That's hilariously optimistic.

Unfortunately, JV will probably be gifted a spot on the team courtesy of Benning. There's nothing I'd like more than to see him succeed, but I think throwing him without an extra year in juniors is a mistake.

as said with our first round pick every year...
Well... What I meant by that was our other picks don't look like they have super great chances of being first line forwards
-
Why not? Jake would be the best power forward the Twins ever played with. In fact, the Twins have never had a guy with Jake's skill set on their line. Would you prefer Lucic? I could see him as a good fit too.
how about neither? By the time Jake is ready to play in the NHL, the Sedins will almost have retired.
-
Boesser is probably our best bet as turning into a first liner, out of all our prospects. I'm hoping to watch as many of his games as possible this year.
-
It sounds like, considering the posters here who know our players comments, that we don't have the elite number one we need? Is there really no one on the horizon?
No one at all.
Anyone know when Boeser's NCAA season starts?
-
This thread is rediculous even for cdc.
Pretty much. Shocked people are mentioning Boesser and Horvat in the same sentence as MacKinnon. He's on a different level from both of them combined.

The more I see of Virtanen, the more I am thinking his upside might be Dustin Brown. A tough, phsyical winger who can score big goals at important times. I really don't see him as a superstar. Now Boeser, on the other hand, has that which can't be taught: an unerring knack for putting the puck where the goalie isn't.
Virtanen scored 40+ goals his draft year. His physical abilities are top notch. It's his mental toughness and maturity which needs work. I do think Boeser's shot is better though.
And that haircut is awful.

Jurassic world - meh/10.

I can see this kid being deadly on the powerplay. Man is his shot good.
-
It was prob a 50/50 split between people on here wanting Horvat to go back
Virtanen in my opinion would be less likely to be sent back to junior over Horvat
He has an nhl body and excellent nhl speed
Horvats knock was always his speed
Horvat could go back to a memorial cup team with a top training and coaching staff
Virtanen won't benefit much from going back to a poorly coached and loose systemed hitmen team
Horvat plays center where virtanen plays wing
A lot easier position to ease into the nhl
Hence why I do believe virtanen will make the team and I will buy his jersey on his 10th game because he is going to be the most exciting prospect we've had in the modern era
So much wrong with this post... Let's face it. Virtanen isn't ready for the NHL.
-
Benning has been throwing out hints about Virtanen making the team. He has said numerous times that he's going to give him every chance to make the team and has gushed about him on many interviews during the past season; especially during his time in Utica. He's a Benning pick and a Benning guy. Benning had said he wants more size, speed, and toughness this season. I'm not sure if he'll earn a spot or if he's ready or not, but he'll be given a spot regardless of what's said.
This is the impression that I get.
Yup. So much for "earning your spot".

i wonder what happens if bearcheese decides to go play in europe.
