  1. If ake truly has turned the corner as some say, I'm excited to see him in the playoffs should Utica make it. I'm a huge Jake fan and I really want to seem him get it together. He has the toolbox to be a special player.

  2. Since my post was swallowed whole by bickering I'll try and steer this back to breeze. anyone notice his stats from wjc roster. listed at 187 lb. is that not an improvement from the start of the year?  An indicator he is really taking this year seriously. or am I tripping and he was already close to that weight?

  3. Anyone know what stechers instagram

post from this morning means? I don't know how to imbed but it says "awhoo #yotesnation " with a coyotes logo jersey?

Edit: just noticed he's still wearing nucks pants. Maybe just a summer league or something?

  4. What was the problem with all of the other prospect threads?

Very intrigued by this pick tho, excited to see what he can do next year in the ncaa.

  5. No matter what happens this is great experience for breeze, and hopefully now that he's on a more competitive team and the prospect of world Jr's well see a real fire under him this season. Not that he wasn't trying before, seems like a real character guy but is nice to see him get rewarded with better opportunities.

  6. Sad to see McCann go, but at least he goes to our eastern counterpart Florida( I really hope Rowe doesn't fudge that up,  I absolutely love the team Tallon has put in place over there). That said, I am elated to have Guddy slot right into our top 4 next season. I believe he will be a big difference maker and a big part of a gradual upswing that will begin for van starting next season.

  7. I think with a stronger supporting cast, another summer of training and studying what went wrong last year ( mostly the minus' and that one goalless streak,  I still think he had an outstanding year) were going to see a big year out of Bowey!

positive he's going, Gallagher refered to him on team1040, eg Canucks shopping Gaunce, lol why well the excuse will be he is too small or he doesn't know how to play defence, something interesting management will make up or Weisbro might cry again and say he doesn't like him. Won't be surprised a single bit after you hear Gaunces name for another weak prospect. This year Benning is gambling the prospects before he was gambling the 2nd rounders, he's moving up the ranks! lol next year he will be gambling away our 1st rounders, way it go Benning keep it up!

    Who hurt you?

If you choose to look at it that was isnt it alarming that subban only has 5 pts less than gaunce. As a rookie...defenseman?

Nah, I'd rather look at that as having a young offensive defenseman achieving better than most had anticipated at this point in his rookie ahl seasn, offensively anyway. I'm not trying to sound any alarms at all, but just offer a little perspective for those who think gaunce doesn't have any offensive skills that will translate. It's possible they won't,  but I like what I've seen from gaunce so far.

  11. I know Shink has always projected more as a top 6 forward, but I think the fact that gaunce is only 6 points behind with 5 less gp isn't something to ignore. Not saying gaunce has the same skill set as hunter but at the very least he's showing he has some upside there. Even if he ends up being a 25-30 point top 9 type guy, he's the type of player you need. A young, big, strong player who can play center or wing, with decent (and improving) speed and good two way instincts. I'm excited to see Brendan in the future.

When we drafted Schneider, I knew he was going to be something special. We've been pretty good about developing our goalies in the system.

Demko is another level up from our previous G prospects... Elite potential. He's going to be really really good one day. In fact, if he so chooses, he could probably turn pro next year. If that will happen, remains to be seen...

I know my opinion means nothing but watching him play he just seems perfect in all aspects of goaltending. I really think he's going to be an elite difference maker down the line

  13. 11336431.jpg?size=620x400sGaunce looking leaner.

Definitely looks like he put in some work this summer. If gaunce can pick up some foot speed (not that he's slow, just not fast) he could be a staple in the top 9 for years to come. Love his game. Can't wait for camp.

  14. Yea trade a guy who paid his dues. Yaaaaaaaaay lets keep Higgins and Hansen because they are so good and trade away a young guy who has skill.

Btw Brandon freaking Prust is worth 2 million, great management Mr Benning. Oh they really had to sign Weber before Sven because you know he might of been picked up by many other teams who are desperate for a guy who is -5 in a 6 games series.

Bottom line Sven Baertschi should of been first priority.

    should have*

  15. Im hoping we can find a reasonable option to trade up, possibly FLA or EDM depending on the price. Take Ekblad at 1 or Bennett at 3. I like Bennett over reinheart even, seems more offensively explosive. Its the speed we need.
