  2. So just curious are you guys buying the Chip doesn't like black players culture/ can't relate to them talk?

Boykin brought it up again and said Chip felt uncomfortable among a group of black players.

Lot of smoke has to be some truth to it. Could just be sour grapes that Riley Cooper is still not gone while all the outspoken black players got cut already.

I found it interesting Chip says he won't trade Mychal Kendricks not yet at the very least considering Eagles have depth at inside linebacker the same way they had depth at corner now.

I'm not really buying it. I mean it Boykin is the first person to say this about Kelly. Nobody at UO said anything about it so I'm not sure. I think he is just pissed that some of his buddy's got cut and he got traded

  3. Lol top to bottom best lineup? Their offence is anemic. They win with outstanding pitching.

The jays lineup is significantly better

It is a line up made of 7 RH Hitters, 1 LH and 1 Switch. The only starter that is a legitimate base stealing threat is revere. When the royals are fully healthy they have an allstar on the BENCH. Do the jays have that?

Edit: not to mention they have and incredibly athletic and awesome defensive team and good pitching. IMO the best team in baseball

Edit #2: That team has power hitters, contact hitters, and speed. What more can you ask of team.

  4. With every single girl I meet or even sometimes just see, I try to imagine us married and if it would work out...

I thought I was the only person that does that. I also think of what our kids would look like

  5. I don't really agree that it was a "no brainer"...

Yes, when a left handed pitcher comes into the game, it makes sense to bring in a right handed batter, but those splits are not nearly as pronounced righty on righty.

If it were such a slam dunk, it would make sense for Navarro to pinch hit for Martin, or to give Smoak more starts against righties than EE or Colabello.

Valencia is not a star on the jays. He is not Donaldson, Martin, EE, Jose. Not a guy you pay big bucks to come through in the clutch, so that makes it a no brainer.

Hope you guys(jays) make the playoffs or at least the wildcard, your fanbase deserves it, and you are a pretty fun team to watch

  6. I don't get it. Cueto goes to Royals for 3 prospects and they wanted Stroman plus other prospects from Jays. The other GM's are obviously jacking up the price and trying to fleece AA because they know his job is on the line. AA is a lame duck GM.

Reed is a good prospect, don't know much about lamb. Finnegan is without a doubt imo better than Stroman. The Reds now have my 2 fav pitching prospects. They will be a fun team to follow in a few years

  7. The point is, if Carerra had struck out, a lot of people would be roasting Gibby for taking out Valencia who is batting close to .300 and already had a hit yesterday.

People are quick to citicize him, when he brings in Cecil to face a lefty and BC doesn't get the job done....credit where credit is due...

I see what you are saying but R v L is an advantage. And when you are facing the backend of an opposing teams Pen you have to take advantages when they come up. A no brainer with Valencia up

Edit: the people who criticize him for making a decision like that either are looking to create controversy or do not understand the game of baseball

  8. With the amount of heat that Gibbons takes in this forum, I think it's only fair to point out that he had a big hand in yesterday's win. Pinch hitting for Valencia with the slumping Carerra looked like a questionable move, but it worked perfectly.

Also, an excellent job of lining up the relief for Hutch, who once again, had a short outing. (At this point, they might as well limit him to only starting at Skydome)

Finally, I've come to the conclusion that Jim Joyce should have retired a couple of years ago. (probably after blowing the call on what should have been a perfect game for Armando Galarraga)

It seemed last night that he had absolutely no idea where the edge of the strike zone was. Going by pitch tracker, Sanchez had two hitters that he threw 4 strikes to, but JJ ran to full counts. Luckily, Sanchez was able to retire them anyway.

I wouldn't call the Pinch hit a outstanding move. I mean Rodney throws that 2 seam that runs in on righties. The smart move was to put a lefty in. Almost any manager would do that

  9. I'm terms of talent the jags a ton of. What will be the difference between a poor season and a successful season for the jags will be the ability to a) protect bortles and allow him to make the wright decisions B) keep the defense off the the field. Being a hawk fan I know many pieces on the jags. So offensively they need to pound the ball on the ground effiecientnly and use play action to catch the defense off guard. C) they need to get the ball to there playmakers. Marquise lee is an electric talent when he gets the ball in space he is unreal. Julius Thomas is a match up problem so they have an advantage there as well. They also have young receivers that are polished route runners, which again should help bortles.
