In my opinion, Benning should let Green, Brown, and Baumgardner go. Bring in an experienced head coach and let him pick his staff, but retain Manny and Ian Clark.

 

I think the players have lost all confidence in our systems. This team needs a shakeup in the worst way. We can still salvage this season if we act before it’s too late. As soon as the holiday roster freeze is over, pull the trigger Jim. Your team needs it. 

I couldn't agree more.

 

Unfortunately the club seems get itself into trouble being 'honorable'. My fear is they might hold onto Green and co too long and waste this season. If so then Benning will also be on the hot seat that much sooner.

 

I hope i'm proven wrong and they make the changes needed in a timely manner and salvage this season.

My Predictions: 

 

For Canucks:

-Bo is named Captain

-Canucks have a slow start but then mesh and continually gain momentum through the rest of the season. 

-Most players have a career year as they fight to maintain their positions. 

-Canucks make or miss the playoffs by two points. 

-We do not win the draft lottery (If Eligible)

-The games are exciting and uptempo. Questionable defense and goal tending makes the games close.

-Benning makes three trades. One trade is for a defensemen to steady our back end and involves a prospect over rated by many. Each trade causes CDC to erupt in typical fashion

-We get one extra pick for the 2019 draft

-Benning goes off the board with his first round pick

 

Other teams:

-Flames miss the playoffs

-Sens miss the playoffs

-Knights miss the playoffs

-Canadiens miss the playoffs

-Leafs can once again do no wrong

-Oilers make the playoffs

-Jets make the playoffs

-Capitals get eliminated in the first round

 

I know preseason was bad but I believe the team will be much better than most expect. Here's hoping they prove me right!

they probably don't want to give jake any spotlight. hes been off the main stage since the start of last season. its probably helpful to remain out of the minds of fans for now.  if he blows off the doors at camp then they can release his training footage.  hyping jake up and then seeing him fall on his face wouldn't be a good move for team pr or for his confidence.

 

jake will keep working hard and he will do his best to prove his former ahl coach and the "jake whisper" lol that he is ready and you cannot deny him. that is the hope at least.  i think jake will surprise a lot of people.

 

is jake eligible for the top prospects tourney? they would probably keep him out anyways. proving yourself vs kids wont help his confidence just create a false sense of confidence .

 

the one thing i will say though; is jake is proving everyone wrong who didn't believe in his ability to change and grow.  i think the controversy he faced at the world jrs and Vancouver have immensely helped his confidence and motivation. i am very proud of jake but he needs to prove he can put it all together still. 

 

good work jake. go hard at camp and show managment, the coaching staff, and us the fans you cannot and will not be denied.

 

if you have to go back to the a to start the season don't be discouraged. you are a lot closer then you think°

I watched it with the wife a few days ago.  It was a lot better than I thought it would be after seeing the trailers.  It was decent but not great.  It got a little crude at times but that seems to be the standard with new movies.  Definitely not a show for kids. 

 

I would watch it again but not if I had to pay for it.
