We win and our media can't stop looking for an issue. How can we blame any player for regretting to come here. Worst reporters in the league. Can't enjoy Anything working in Van

I think both players are/were on LTIR because they really are hurt but in Stones case if the team flounders he is still able physically play but the best for him is to rest and fully heal up.
There GM rolled the dice that they would be fine without him and still have other guys that once healthy will be able to be activated like Patches, Lehner, Marrchasault? But it completely backfired just like his plan to clear the 4 mill needed to activate Alex and open an LTIR spot for Lehner, that when combined with decreasing their roster of 26 down to a normal roster size they could activate Stone.
But they can't and frankly that's some damn good karma.
Yea it's great karma. But it would be even better if teams actually questioned this move to clear the perfect amount to activate those 2 players which indicates that they are healthy. If healthy should they not be forced to remove them from ir and applied to their cap. It's obvious vegas is abusing the system and teams should be pushing for real punishment and forcing them to get their cap in order. If they have other players to put into ltir and players ready to come off then shouldn't vegas be forced to make those moves and get cap compliant. Long term injury reserve isn't there to hide healthy players that you can't afford because your over the cap

The team has no choice but to activate guys from LTIR when the guy is cleared to play. It’s not about wanting to do it; they have to do it. The Vegas doctors will not okay Stone and Martinez until the club clears cap. Their doctors, like their team and city, are scum
That's what I'm getting at. It's clear by the trade they attempted to make that those players are ready to go. If the trade had gone through as planned I'm confident vegas would of activated both of them but it didn't so how can they remain on ltir. Other teams should seriously be questioning this move. That system is not meant to stash players away that are healthy, those cap hits should be applied to Vegas's cap right now which would put them so far over its rediculous. Tampa last year was shady about it but at no point did they try and pull something like this so atleast their injuries looked legit. The knights just tried to pull one over and it backfired, by no means should they be allowed to keep them out of the lineup they should have to be cap compliant with those players or be penalized this is clear circumvention,

So watching snet after the game and they say vegas wanted to activate stone and Martinez off ir but don't have the cap
room. Is that not clear cap circumvention. How can they have 13 mil ready to play but Don't have the space. Would that not put them over the cap with the salaries of the players coming off ltir.

Quoting myself here but I genuinely want to know how this is allowed anyone else
feel like this is even a step above Tampa's clear cap dodging.
Can anyone please explain

Big win for the boys!! Just watching snet, So vegas is ready to active stone and martinez which mean they are good to play but they're allowed to stay on ltir. Is that not cap circumvention?

I feel like this is one of many cases where 2 prospects are swapped and one comes out blazing only to cool off and disappear while the other slowly works his way into being a quality player. We could really use that kind of trade win go our way

I like the Dermott and Hamonic trades more and more.
Hamonic missed a lot of games, and not all because he was injured. I don't think he gave his all in VAN, he didn't get in many fights anyway. From what I hear he didn't get along very well with his team mates, differences of opinion probably. He's also 31 and makes $3.
Dermott is 6 years younger, plays both right and left, is half the price of Hamonic, and they feel he has good analytics and upside. I think he'll do really well in VAN.
The 3rd round picks are a wash, but....VAN traded WPG's 3rd to TOR for Dermott, so if OTT finishes below WPG in the standings, that's an added small bonus of moving up a few spots in that 3rd round.
They sent our own 3rd rounder back to us not their own

We're trying to retool/rebuild and don't move anyone other then motte: I don't blame people for being mad, this isn't what we were sold with new management. They deserve any doubt they've created

Gutted some heart out of the team for minimal return. Rather of just hung on to him

Take away a little of the flamers depth

Called this flip happening in the hammer thread right away. We might not like giving up that third. But you never know, we got our third back and a young d. We have cap space, can sign offer sheets now. There's a lot of positives with this move

Garland and Petan on a line is so small. Why do we never call anyone up with size to play these bigger teams

High stick on himself where's the review

What is more likely to happen: mid-game trade or third-period Canucks goal?
Mid game trade would make this night a little more bearable

Starting tomorrow he will see his workload cut down a lot..
Just hope Halak will waive his NTC and get us a 4th round pick.... I don't mind seeing Spencer Martin get a few more games!!
I agree. Even if they just paper one of the forwards down that are sitting and bring Martin up. Even if it's just for this home back to back
