How do you just Roussel being on the power play. Big Mac has more offensive instinct and you trust Roussel. I just don’t get Green’s deployment. It has to be justified.
Is that a Greener or Newell Brown decision?

Petey really trying too hard to force it

Atta boy Big Mac, keeping the feet moving

He needs to make those saves regardless.
The team needs to tighten up defensively regardless... 2 of those are point blank chances.

HERE COMES THE ROUSSTER YEAAAAHHHHH

This is not Demko’s fault... ffs people

No doubt there are jobs on the line coming down the stretch here

For most of that game I was thinking “we’re actually not playing down to the competition for once...”

Our team defense is being badly exposed

Nice try but it’s not even close. Bess is both a shooter and a passer. He’s a much more skillful player than Tofu
How good has the PP been since Toffoli got here? It’s closer than you think.
I agree Brocks more talented, but Toffoli just makes better decisions with the puck. And he’s got skill and a shot.

Gotta say, Toffoli is better on the PP than Boeser. Not nearly as much forcing plays that aren’t there.

He's maturing into a great player. I was really hoping that we'd get a higher draft pick in that lottery and snag him up.

When you practice a craft you generally improve, with a good teacher you improve far faster and more than with a bad teacher so OK players are developing but how much and how fast. IMHO not enough and too slow.
Which players are developing too slowly?

I’m as serious as the money I made in chewing gum stocks while he was here and that was some serious money.
That is awesome... juicy fruit? 5ive??
Anyways we have completely different views on AVs tenure here.

I didn’t like AV either, too soft, we had perhaps the best team ever since the salary cap, we should have had several cups.
he’s haunting us still.
You’re joking right?

I disagree on developing, I feel he should be way ahead of where he is now. As for Hughes, that’s just common sense, everyone knew how special he was.
Maybe Baertschi and Goldobin could have become better under a different coach, they looked promising.
As for timeouts? He made one good one a few days ago, regardless, time outs are coaching 101 and not something you should be learning as an NHL coach.
I probably would have made Bo captain too, but it’s not working out too well unfortunately, what’s he doing to fix it?
Under Willie D, people were questioning if Jake would ever be a full time NHL player.
Now he’s looking like he’ll be a consistent 20 goal scorer, hard to play against and fixture in the top 9.

Alain Vigneault took the job in 2006 and didn't see major success until 2010/11 with a similar yet more complete team to start with.
Good point, and AV had previous NHL head coaching experience in MTL.

Huge game! All these high pressure, playoff race games are crucial building blocks for our future cup contending teams.
Everyone criticizing Green needs to stfu and chill. Remember how young this team is, and the growth all the young guys are showing. They’re learning how tough it really is to win. And Travis is a “young” coach who is growing and gaining experience along with the players.
