Id like to see Hughes given the 'A' for defensive assistant duties. More offensive contribution stemming from transition and defensive excellence in our zone is a possibility.
-
Beuvillier-petterson-kuzmenko
miller-garland-kravtsov
top 6.
boeser to headline 3rd line. and 2nd unit powerplay.
PP1-beuvilier-petterson-kuzmenko
PP2-garland-miller-boeser
Hughes should be on both units. more minutes to our assist leader.
-
One thing also,
Try dressing 7 defensemen on some nights. The canucks are a young team with all the tools needed to be succesfull on offense. Now, lets clamp down on defense.

Bonjour,
In my humble opinion, Eli P. needs a sike kick. Be it Miller or Boeser. Either should be on ice when petey is on. He should be joined on the hip with either at all times. The third liner be it kuzmenko or garland should park themselves in front of the opposing goalie. kuzmenko has his fair share of shot goals. now lets see if you can get the garbageman goals. Try podkolzin also. In his time he has ripped a few it from just outside the crease. And, DJ Dakota Joshua. He has size.
Coach tocchet, i need a few tip drills. Physics of tips 101.
Shot and a rebound always a good approach too but mix the 1 timers in also.
PP1:
kuzmenko-petterson-boeser.
Hughes-OEL.
PP2:
Miller-garland-podkolzin.
Myers-Schenn.
Coaches choice for 6x6 lines.
Roll all 4 imho.
goaltending isnt that bad. our guys between the pipes are finding out what being a big game goaltender is all about.
Defense drills.
chip it off the boards.
chip it on goal, playoff style.
PK: miller time.
Also id like to remark that a lot of times hughes looks like a lockdown cornerback in football with his defensive coverage. excellence.
Merci,

You see what happens when you dilute the talent to a boil. it melts over.
colorodo when they were forsberg's team used to have an amp line. alex tanguay, milan heduk, peter forsberg.
it was also called crawford's 'panic line' heh.
when the penguins had thier runs they put crosby on the same line with malkin.
when chicago went on thier recent cup runs, p kane was put on the toevs line.
its a percentage league. Stacking works. when you put petey brock and miller together this time around, they wont have to worry about trying to also bolster horvat's stats.
there was a thing in sports once when you talked about 'inangibles' the rappore of petey and brock is a foundation we can build on. They both know the pressures as top prospects coming up and having success. miller can be the on that line like a swiss army knife.
Elias Pettersson has clearly become the dominant male on this team. i recind my vote for jt miller. he can keep his (A) and teach petey. I give my vote to Eli P. as captain of the canucks ship.
captain pete feed the sheep. love always wins.

Boeser-Petterson-kuzmenko.
beavillier-Miller-garland.
Raty on 3rd line imho.
PP Boser-petterson-miller.
Hughes-OEL
Schenn-Myers

I humbly vote JT Miller as the next captain of the canucks.
Eli Petterson. has earned his (A), as, no joke, he comes with his a game every time he steps on the ice.
Oliver ekman larsson defense (A) . Teach young q hughes to use his shot with potency.
canucks foundations were to build from the goalie up and be solid down the middle. This thought hearkened to my mind when i perceived this post. new leadership , foundational approach. canucks are building, but as a work in progress. lets do it with God this time. "if the lord does not build it, in vain do they labor."
Keep an eye out for a pass to boeser. he will hopefully see more ice time with the departure of horvat.

Farewell, coach Budreau. You swam with the pod. Remember us as a city that was behind you and behind the canucks %100.
Welcome, Coach Toccet. I hope your efforts better the team on and off the ice.

Gameday top 6
1. Boeser-Horvat-Kuzmenko (kush)
2. miller-petterson-mikaev
Garland at center for 3rd line imho
Horvat should be the 'match up' center. he wins a high rate of faceoffs and this should be not taken lightly as a lot of nights, possession is key.

I will repeat my Canucks top 6.
boeser-petterson-miller
mikaev-horvat-kuzmenko
That is a top 6 most teams would love having.
miller, 99pts at last season. time to play up to your fat new contract.
petterson and boeser are both steady contributors, with boeser skating better and winning 50/50 battles for pucks better than this time last year.
petterson of course is the team's superstar. your best players have to be your best players.
mikaev and kuzmenko have shown prowess as well. With horvat at c on this line faceoffs are better off. also not to mention horvat is on a blistering goal place.
trade u garland for toffoli?
roll this top 6.
hughes-meyers
schenn-ekman/larsson
top 4 defense pairings respectively.
again, your best players have to be your best players night in and night out.
see to it you use the tools you have. grind out games. do the little things like winning puck battles.
success will follow.
Thank you in advance.

miler-petterson-boeser
mikaev-horvat-kuzmenko
my top six for vs'ing the Islanders on tuesday.
Do it up budreau.

-
aw. we gonna miss his 'infallible' puck carries and 'edgework.'
-
Eli P. In the lineup tonight or flu got him down?
-
Shift Petey with Boeser and a russian.
Shift Miller with Boeser and a russian.
shift Boeser with horvat and hoglander
Shift garland with boeser.
At this point, give Boeser the keys to the offence and the vip treatment.
Let both sides know what they would be missing.
-
Well for one thing boeser was a lot better in overtime vs san jose. he took care of the puck.
-
pp1 Petterson-miller-boeser
pp2 horvat/mikaev/kuzmenko
ppd1 hughes schenn
ppd2 ekman-larsson meyers
canucks certainly have more face cards this year than last. i say its time to stack the deck. especially on home ice.

Petey's current line with the Russians is amongst the league leaders for productive lines.
* true enough
put him on Miller and Horvat's wing*good point
and good points to follow on ice, hopefully.
I like the bible quotes in your sig.
Jesus is the reason for the holiday season.

Well, ive always been a fan of Boeser. he came up with Petterson so they should know each other a lil better then just plugging in a or b or c in. hes got that shot, and an unnderated pass from the bumper line. Many nights in a fair share of seasons the 6 4 9 line was the backbone with horvat chipping in now and then. all our players have grown and should be making themselves a challenge to play against. as was seen today.
-
In my opinion,
Boeser should now be on the top line with Petterson and either kuzmenko or mikaev.
Horvat-miller-hoglander could prove potent once again if given the time.
Garland needs more shifts 5x5 . he was massive last season at evn strength.
Hughes been droppin dimes game in and game out. get that high wrister back in your repitroire.
crossbar shots only! d:
merry christmas and happy new years.
-
2 man lines 1 and a wingy
Boeser-Petterson "the rock on which to build (the canucks future) with.....
+ Horvat.
back that up with hughes - ollie/larson
Miller horvat boeser
faceoff challenge line
Schenn/Myers/hamonic(if he is cleared from injury)
round out the top 5 d.
This season is starting to look special.
Coach Budreau been shuffling the deck. Good on ya, boss.
