I can’t stand greens happy go lucky attitude.its ok to show anger at your team. We lost three in a row. You have to be strong enough to come out and take the bull by the horns.

Yes, I agree. I get not giving the media anything to go on but each interview is the same. Sway back and forth, fix the tie, say we are a young team, tell them that they will learn from it and say they played a great game.
If this is how Green is in the dressing room then no wonder we are so soft. We need some fight and some push back here team.

  2. I just want some push back and hustle. It seems like a fire drill with them all running around out there. They have been playing all season with each other. You can't tell me that there are only 5 guys on the team that want to win.
They are all bi polar, we see greatness every now and then and then it just goes away and it is Kaos
I could go down the list about the bad things that each player does but it is pointless.
I hope they get back to work and kick it up a notch.  Green really needs to learn when to some fresh AHL bodies,  play Demko and when to call a time out.

We are way to soft , we just get tossed around out there.
I am just frustrated.. I was hoping for a better effort out of the whole team.

We need to tweak the lineup

Not just from this game, but the last few.

    1. Move Eriksson to Beagles line so we still have a decent shutdown line when needed. Eriksson has gone stale for now

    2. Move Sutter to Gaudette's line first of all to win more draws but to add some stability defensively there

    3. Move Brock to Horvats line to give him 2 heavy forwards  and play a simple game to try to get him going

    4. Move jake back to the 1st ... ummm because it was working quite well. He adds speed and heaviness that benefits that line

    Miller- Petey- Jake

    Pearson- Bo- Brock

    Rouss- Sutts- Gaudette

    Schaller- Beagle- Eriksson

Also isn't it time to get Benn back in the line up?

Not saying Fanta's playing poorly but a little shake up on the D wouldn't hurt

I 100% agree with this.  I am just hoping that Benn kicks it up a notch he needs to get feisty.

  4. I think most are reading way to much into it..
    Brock is doing just fine.
Load management for him to be on the 3rd line and to have his ice time reduced. If he stays healthy this will be his first full season.
Not to mention that he came back from two very serious and possible career ending injuries.
I think it is smart to reduce his role, he seems to have more jump after Green lessens the load on him. I personally think it is a good thing that we can have some many different line combo's putting up points.
Boeser was never going to be a 40-50+ goal scorer a season if you as a fan thought that then that is on you.  I think this season is a little more accurate on Brocks overall game going forward. If he can be a solid 20+ goal scorer every year then he is doing his job.
He has also improved his defensive game and he is throwing hits, the last few years after he lost the puck he would just cruise around on the ice but he is battling back and starting to do the little things right.
    Give Boeser a break

It's tough to say. There are a lot of great stories this year.

-The most logical answer is probably Miller. We traded for a 45 point winger and wound up with a near PPG center with one of the best FO percentages in the league. That's a massive win however you slice it.

    - Pearson would be up there as well. He's been known to be a pretty inconsistent player throughout his career, and I keep waiting for the wheels to fall off, but they just aren't. He's on pace for 60+ points, has great chemistry with Bo, plays a nice heavy game, can play at both ends of the rink and plays both specials teams. We got that FOR GUDBRANSON.

    - Virtanen and Gaudette's progression kinda goes without saying, but I think they were both at least somewhat expected to improve upon what they did last year, although with the way preseason started for Virtanen, he probably should be in the conversation as well.

    - I'd like to throw an honorary shoutout to Leivo as well. Most of us questioned Green when he showed such obvious favoritism to Leivo to start the season, but the guy kept improving and improving, to the point where he was looking like a top 6 forward playing with Bo and Pearson. It's such a damn shame that his season ended the way it did. Hopefully we can resign him for a reasonable price and he's able to continue building on the success he was having before he went down. I imagine he's have pretty similar numbers to Virtanen had he not gone down

    - Biggest disappointment would be how the Ferland signing has turned out thus far. I thought it was a great move at the time. Didn't know his concussion issues were so bad, considering he didn't miss much time last year. I really hope they sit him out for the rest of the season and let him start fresh next year.

I agree with all those that you mentioned. I think Tanner would get my vote or Leivo sucks that he was injured he was on pace for an awesome year and his best of his season as well.

... and lining his pockets with an nhl paycheque.

    I don't think he's complaining.

He probably isn't too happy. Most of the guys just want to play hockey. Imagine just having a little taste and watching everyone else eat the sundae.
Paycheck or not I can believe that he would rather just be playing instead of sitting and watching.

  7. Good topic..
I like all the goalie perspective anwser's

I played Goal too and it is all about angels, reflexes and luck.. You do have to be mentally strong especially to just let the ones that do go in you need to brush off and restart.

For the D I often think this a lot of the time.. I mean I know they are doing their best and they do block a lot of shots. But I am sure it gets really frustrating when goals go off of your own player when if they had just checked the guy maybe he wouldn't even had got the shot off.
Or if you are out there defending then it is easier to follow the play and see the puck then up close and personal.

I wish Myers would use his size instead of flopping around on the ice. For the one time he gets the puck there are 3 where he fails. I think for all the D if you are in the right position then the puck will hit you , no need to be flailing around trying to stop it. Take the man take the man@!
