Petey almost cost us the game before Garland scored.
Definitely not playing well. He was a liability.

Sorry but it's DELORME! That battle was one of the best punch for punch exchanges of all time. DELORME finally hit him on the button and it's all she wrote! Cha-Ching babay

I'd take Mackinnon straight up for EP in a heartbeat. Love EP but he has the potential of being an injury bug. Fragile guy.

Sorry to ask fellas. I'm a casual message board guy and couldn't find any details online after a quick search but are there any contract details released? Like how much was offered to each and how long? Thanks...Cheers mates

I have to say, that had to be the worst performance In a game 7 I have seen in years. At least the Canucks don’t have a cap problem anymore. Marky not as critical as before, Tofoli is history, there is 11-12 million saved.

I’m not complaining. We overachieved. Great team great effort. I wouldn’t be surprised if Vegas wins it all.

His contract is about a mill or two more a year than it should be but at the time overpayment was necessary to land him. There weren’t many options and our defence needed him. To be honest we probably wouldn’t be in the playoffs without him. If you don’t notice him that’s a good thing too in terms of making too many mistakes and defending well. The guy right now is playing half injured and doing well considering. Myers is not a problem on this team.
That mil or two a year could mean the difference between signing a young guy or not. Hey, I don’t dislike the guy but he seems over paid for his contribution. Hughes will need a big contact in the next couple years and Myers will be one of the contracts holding it back. I’m thinking we trade Myers to free up that money. Im just not sure who would take on a 6mil salary for what he brings.
-
I think he’s a good player but his contract is atrocious. Considering his contract I think he’s a bust. He’s one of the the highest paid players on the team but I don’t see it during games. He’s always out of sight, in the background and mainly unnoticeable and his contract is horrible for the team. Gets in the way of negotiating better deals for our young players when we have this albatross of a contract strangling us. What say you?

MarkstrUm wasn’t the only issue.
Also, a MarkstrUm at 80% is better than a Demko who hasn’t seen a game in months.
What ya think now Dummerboy? -

I was responding to all the let Marky walk comments. You mentioned nothing about a better offer from another team unless I missed it?
Sure some team may outbid the Nucks and if that happens I would be fine with Demko and maybe a Greiss another 1b type for a couple of years.
But based on everything we know about Marky and the fact that Benning has said he is the top priority, I think they split the difference and go 5.5 mill, term I have no idea but perhaps Marky takes an even friendlier deal money-wise, in exchange for more term?
Wait a minute, people are calling for Marky to walk? I didn’t see a preponderance of comments like that. I don’t think anyone says Marky should or will walk. Marky has a few years left and Demko has a decade +. Neither needs to leave. Anything the Nucks have to do to keep them both needs to be done. I hope the salary cap is increased soon. We will need it to sign guys like Marky, Demko and our other young guys.

Yup, we need Marky, Demko looked excellent, but consistency is key. As soon as Demko screws up.. well we all know how that goes. I would still pick Marky over Demko at this moment of time.
Absolutely Marky is #1 but we can’t let Demko get away. He’s young and has tons of potential. He looks like a decade type talent. -
Is Demko the future? I think so. Marky has been unbelievable but we can’t let Demko leave. He’s absolutely part of the new young nucleus and should be regarded just like the other young’ is.

We’re behind on our rebuild? What are you talking about cumblab?

Look gang, the vagina knights are a good team. The entry draft guaranteed that. They’ve made moves since to bolster their roster and it shows. I’m proud we hung in there but we can’t give up 40+ shots a game and expect to win even if those shots were weak.

That was a thought game. Demko won it but Vaginas is a great team. We need a little better play next game. Can’t rely on Demko like that

Almost crying here. Damn that was an impressive performance by Demko
