  1. Aren't Lazar the type of players we want to keep and sign more of? Defensively sound, physical, hard checking players who can penalty kill?

Aren't we trying to NOT use Miller and Petey on the penalty kill?

We traded him away and now we have to sign someone else who can do the same but may potentially cost more.

for a 4th rounder who 90% will not be an NHL player?

    WTF is the chipmunk doing??

Why not try to get the best players available to play with Quinn and Pety?  They want to win.  They want to win now.  They're one of the best two in the game today.   Let's load them up and give them a shot.  If not, they'll likely walk anyway.

There is no "one" way to build a cup team.   Are we three pieces away?  For sure we are!  How do we get them?   That's above our paygrade.

are we watching the same team? We are 3 pieces away? What the legit fug?

we are in no way close to competing. We are still getting outshot and outchanced by a 2:1 margin.  Demko has been getting peppered since his return.

If we "load them up" like Alvin is doing right now, we will see the canucks suck for the next 10 years.  All the prime years of Petey and Quinn will be wasted.

If Allvin just had the patience and balls to suck for 1 years, collect another 1st round pick at the deadline (for Miller), then we have 3 first round picks. THey will be NHL ready in 3 years, which equals 3 elite players on entry level contracts.  Then Alvin just has to complement these with role players, THEN we will have another 3 years to go for the cup.

but no, Aquaman and allvin can't wait to do a proper rebuild. So we gotta suck for another 10. just as Benning couldn't wait for ONE YEAR to let all the shit contracts of beagle, russell, erickson expire and traded for the POS. OEL and traded away a 1st.

    f**k this ownership and management.

    Beavillier - 8 GP, 4G, 3A, 7PTS - .875 PPG

    Horvat - 8GP, 4G, 2A, 6 PTS - .75 PPG

Horvats getting all the love, but Beau has been one of our best players since he was traded here. I'm not saying they'll have a similar PPG with their new team at seasons end, but he's been a pleasant surprise and adds much needed speed, forechecking and defensive abilities to this team - 25 years old to boot.

A skilled guy getting the opportunity to play with the right players. Beau's a beaut!

These couple of games have revealed something - fanbase and organization took him for granted.

Horvat gave his heart and soul to this city and team. And what did we do? We made all sorts of excuses to diminish his contributions. Worst of all, him getting 8.5 mill was him apparently "getting greedy"

Now NYI fans are cheering for him in a way that fans haven't done before, despite the number of jerseys.

Horvat has left us behind - and he isn't going to look back. Management and the fans here have let him down for the last time.

We talk about other people at fault (i.e. Benning), but we rarely talk about how we seriously screwed up.

    We did Horvat dirty.

You make it seem like personal but hockey's a business. You had a breakout season on a contract year and we can't afford him. end of story

I am still having trouble figuring out what the team's plan is. Yes they have traded Horvat but it's being reported they are unsure if they are trading Schenn. I get the leadership part of it but if they can get assets for him that will help in the future because really does it matter if he stays an extra couple of years on a team like this? They need to cash in now. It just feels similar to the old regime when they want to hang onto players when we all know they need to move them. I am hoping they aren't close to finished. Hopefully they trade Boeser, Garland, Myers, and possibly Demko if they can get a good return. We all know right now there is a coaching bump and they are still letting in goals like a sieve. I don't know when I start hearing they want to keep players it's puzzling. It feels like they just fall in love with players and just forget about continuing to build for the future. I hope they have more deals. These games at the end always seem to change their mind. I think it's the paranoia of having these pointless winning streaks at the end where they convince management that see we're not that bad. Then they come in again next year and stink the joint out. No more pointless winning streaks, please!

I get you. But chill, last year was a fluke. Last night's win prove that Horvat was expendable and he netted us a decent return. So a plus for management there.

But still we gave up 5 goals. Nothing's changed. We still suck and I know for sure we are going to lose the next 4-5 games, and but then it's the trade deadline and Allvin will pull the trigger
