LMAO this thread. Scrolling down through regular posts and every second one is 'HAMHUIS IS TERRIBLE'
-
wow....that's shows you right there....the friggen bias
even if he wants to rant about one of the coaches, he's not supposed to call phantom penalties.

I read somewhere that Devorski was mouthing "that guy [Torts] is an a**hole". Given that it was probably on these forums, take that with several grains of salt.
actually maybe not. http://postmediaprovince.files.wordpress.com/2014/01/devorskiahole.gif
and I mean there is clearly something personal going on, crazy stuff happens in many other games but you don't see one team penalized like this.

So Nucks played bad, fine. I don't understand what we ever did to Devorski though. He's reffed our games before and they've been pretty normal... why did he suddenly get personal?
-
would it be irrational for me to say someone should break devorski's nose? at least he wouldn't be reffing anymore.
kidding obvs, but this is ridiculous. what did anyone ever do to him? it's clearly personal at this point.

No one says we have no skill. We got beat. End of story, no excuses.
agreed on getting beat, just thought a couple pages back someone was talking about us not having enough skill. we have it in the JR leagues, but this checking line mentality for the JR team isn't helping. The captain was a 4th liner / grinder? no knocks on him, but that kind of says a lot...

Canada has skill though. Tons of it. It just wasn't selected, or wasn't used properly, or is in the NHL
We've won before on international surfaces. We just didn't play well today. AT ALL. Too many individuals, no effort, too many fancy passes.
Hopefully this is a wakeup call for next year.

I'm so tired of all this Kassian hand wringing. Kid will be fine, I've seen him make some pretty awesome setups and passes... don't know who was talking about lack of hockey IQ - what?? yes he's made some dumb plays (penalty today, some bad hits) but I don't see him costing us goals regularly or being oh so weak on the backcheck or anything. He's also not suited for a 3rd line role. I'd rather see him on the 2nd line... and yes I know people will say he hasn't earned 2nd line minutes, fair, but it's a bit of a catch 22 at this point.

man aside from the first post the ENTIRE first page of this thread is 'popular'. heeee.

Total sarcasm.
During the intervie he:
- states how the gophers have great skill, but have some sort of mental hurdle they can't get over right now.
- is not bitter after dropping at the NHL draft, thankful that he landed in Vancouver
- talks about the WJC team, complimenting returning players and offers his insight onto who he believes may be on his line.
- said he wanted to stay in school because he values having university education ("a year or too"), just incase hockey does not work out in the long run. Also states that he wanted to bulk up a bit more, he's now around 180ish pounds.
Pretty much it.
Ohhhh ok. Yeah, I'd heard nothing but how good his character was so was a bit surprised by the post lol, but wasn't sure if it was sarcasm or not. Thanks for the clarification!

Here's a link to a recent interview with Jordan Schroeder from The Pipeline Show (team1260 - Edmonton).

This kid has some serious character issues
I can't listen to it... elaborate on the character issues if you don't mind?

You have to agree though..
Without the Sedins... He is nothing... a third liner at best.
yes... but it doesn't matter because he is exactly the type of player they need. he makes them better and they make him better and he can play at a 1st line level when he's with them, which is all that matters. therein lies the magic of the sedins

Anyone got a shot of Kesler breaking his stick...?

gah, you can't expect greatness every year. we're in a downswing year, wait till the youth comes through the pipeline and things will look up again. patience people.
