Is it just me but does anyone else remember sticks breaking in the 70's? Because I as sure heck don't remember sticks breaking like they have the last 10 years or so....
Sticks were made in wood back then. Now they use composite to add more flex to the stick which make them more brittle at the same time.

The problem of the Pens is their defence. Their only star at the blue line is Letang, who was out for most of the season and is more of an offensive player. They need a stay at home defencemen. Scuderi and Orpik are too slow.
It used to be the goalers that were the most important player in the playoffs. Now I think it's defencemen. I mean look at the team still in the playoffs :
Wild : Sutter
Blackhawks : Seabrook and Keith
LA : Doughty
Habs : Subban and Markov
Boston : Chara, Hamilton, Krug
Rangers : Mcdonagh, Girardi
Anaheim : Fowler and Beauchemin
You can't win in this league anymore without a star defenceman that excel at both ends of the rink.
*Just imagine if the Habs didn't trade Mcdonagh to the Rangers for Gomez. Stupid trade by Bob Gainey.

Always been a streaky player. When he's not in his game he just shoot the puck from the outside instead of trying to crash the net... But I really didn't like his game along the boards. For god sake, Desharnais is only 5'7 and he won more battles than him.

A specialist today was saying he probably wanted to be killed at first but changed his mind later because otherwise he would have confronted the police instead of trying to hide. He was saying they were probably going to get him alive. I guess he was right.
