It's actually a nice change, in my opinion, to have the Canucks as underdogs instead of "underperforming elite team". I can actually just enjoy a game or two even when they lose. All I require as a fan is 100% effort, though I do still hope for wins.

Did you show that in your highlites? I didn't watch them like I usually do. Was fuming after the game.

Bieksa has his moments for sure, but realistically he's a great 5th or 6th d-man. Less minutes and more fighting and everyone would be singing his praises. Put him in a top 4 role and suddenly he's a goat. It's his contract that ruins everything.

I don't miss games. Bieksa drags down every guy he's paired with. Stanton was probably his best partner since Mitchell IMO. He needs a stay at home guy with him to cover his TERRIBLE pinches. He moves over to the other guys side for no reason on odd man rushes usually leaving someone wide open. His breakouts are abysmal. He usually hangs on to it for like 10 seconds too long then flubs a muffin up the middle. Bieksa is the weak link on the D core. I say trade him to Toronto for some prospects/picks and watch our defensive game improve.

Missing Stanton more than Edler IMO. Burrows is a great defensive forward too. Could use him late game when protecting a lead.
