  1. My coworker refused to say anything for the moment of silence, but after it was over, she told the lady that she thought it was extremely offensive because most of her family's in the military, but the stupid lady just rolled her eyes.

then you tell that lady to roll her rude a$s out. i absolutely can not believe that. even the scouts i took to the memorial at grandview were more respectful then that hag.

on the bright side, while i was watching news, and i noticed it too, its great that remembrance day is starting to become more engraved into our minds, especially the younger generation, and that they know what this day is all about. that way, remembrance day wont be seen as just a "day off from school" as it has been thus far.

  2. I can't believe some people. At 11, we had a moment of silence at work (toy store) and this lady actually said to my coworker, "This is wasting my time. Finish my transaction!"

LOL wtf!? hope you still didnt do it...

anyway did anyone see those 5 ghetto war planes flying around? that was a great image as they flew over where i was (At grandview parks ceremony) right at 11. was amazing!

  3. I haven't heard anything.

But it rained a TON just a couple of minutes ago. It was very louddd! Hopefully it rains like that again when I'm in bed. The sound of rain = the best. :D

wow i very much agree with that. my room is at the front of the house with a wide panel of windows so its really nice kind of ambient noise when i go to sleep.

  4. It's a shame that it won't be a matter of "if" but rather a matter of "when"... Vancouverites have no respect for pubic property. :(

hey bucky!!! and no kidding, i remember when those new sheltered bus stops (with the clear glass and simple design which i really love) came out to replace those old brown wooden ones, itd barely last a couple weeks before i see a panel all cracked or broken because some idiot wanted to be cool or something. its sad to still see a number of bus stops w/out the glass panels as if theyre already tired of replacing them over and over...

  5. hey nitro or whoever!!! i just noticed these pretty cool LED signs riddled along Main st. that shows name of bus and how long till it comes!!! thought these were pretty sweet. but i already have a feeling that idiots will easily bat these down or whatever.

was wondering if there was an article talking about it or something as i heard nothing until i saw them!

  6. Lamar Advertising is responsible for most of Translink's advertising operations, and they plan to install LED advertising screens on 100 buses in time for the Olympics.

ohh so it is purely fo olympics. kinda lame 8| i dont see them anymore.

thanks nitro, always there to answer any question =P

  7. oh hey i just remebered. its off topic but did anyone remember those buses with these weird led panels along the side where advertisements normally are? i remember seeing them a couple of times going up to sfu. they always advertised the olympics.

what happend to those? did cars just keep crashing into them? =P

  8. I'm Chinese myself. The Chinese people who always stand right in the middle are from the mainland. I've ride the MTR in Hong Kong and they behave much better.

and so ive heard. ive had friends tell me how they even have simple painted footsteps on the platform so people know how to line up and that they ACTUALLY follow it. people here will step on that friggen yellow strip on the platform so that they can get in earlier, how they hell would they follow some drawing on the ground...

I agree completely, its amazing how little they care about others. A lot of old grandmas that just push their way in no matter how little people are in the train and how much time they have.

you bet, i know theyre elderly, but come on, by the time you get on, MOST people would easily give up their seat for them too. but jesus christ. this especially starts on the snobbish/older ones. it honestly pisses me as i take the train almost everyday, and EVERYTIME i will see this...

  9. I'm satisfied with the speakers. I just wish they would have an announcement telling passengers to let people off first before boarding.

    LOL!

even better they need to have chinese translations for that especially. not racist at all (im chinese myself and very embarrassed seeing it) but chinese people are one of the rudest in terms of getting on, off. they f*king always stand right in the middle of the entrance or right on the side so that they can try to slip in. its like theyre scared the doors are going to close right away or so they can quickly steal a seat.

attention to those chinese folks, theres nothing free on the train, there are no stalls within the train to bargain at and there other people other than yourself; take your freaking time...

the only non enjoyable part was going from bridgeport to richmond centre and vise versa. horrdendous. theyre loud and always rush in and out...

    /end rant

  10. took a ride on it yesterday, and its pretty cool in the end, the network at bridgeport is confusing though 8| very interesting how the train going to airport overlaps the waterfront bound lane.

anyway, i never knew there were station announcments about the up coming train, found that very futuristic and cool; ionno im just weird.

as well i was wondering, what time does this line close? i heard that it closes at 12ish. wouldnt that defeat the purpose of the lines going to the airport? considering that there are still a few number of flights coming in at night

  11. i was wondering, i heard htere was an opening ceremony somewhere right before grand opening of track, is it open for public or no?

as well, i heard there are collectible stamp books that we can go to certain stations to stamp, just as a nice keeper. anyone know if theyre nice or not? i wanna explore the line that way, sounds neat.

as well the events outside most of the stations sounds really neat. cool thing to do. ill be heading to waterfront at 12 prolly xD

  12. LOL, absolutely not. I actually still use the kit lens for the camera; the only add-ons are the UV lens and the "screw on top of current lens" fisheye lens (which is the cheap man's version of the "real" fisheye lens).

My equipment is really small potatoes. :)

hahahhahahahha thats a good one! a hole!

maaaan i want a fish eye so badly, really want to take some crazy pano photos and those nice centre focus kind of blurred photos... you know? =/

anyway, love looking at your photos bucky =)

  13. LOL... Well, it does make me happy when someone takes a cool pic. :)

pffft but inside you must have that evil mwuahahaha laugh cause whatever pictures anybody else takes wont be as nice as yours and a couple others here with your thousand dollar lenses and cameras -_-

    (:P)
