  1. being "some old guy", I have been around, lived more life, learned more things, and done more things than most punks here can comprehend.

Then what the hell are you doing on a message board. My father has probably accomplished more then you in the past 10 years, he doesn't sit around some message board trying to be an donkey. Lay off the crack pipe.

  2. bahh. Where this is a will there is a way. Different solution for each person. Just do it and quit whining about it. Up to each person to find a way to get up and down. If I had to go there every day, I can assure you, somehow, I would, and that includes the times when I didnt have a car. The worst vancouver weather, or the worst prairie weather, I never let it stop me from being where I needed or wanted to be. When busses didnt run, I found other ways.

So tell me what the other ways are?? I'm a student who works part-time, pays crap amount of tuition. I don't have money lying around for a car, and the only way I can get to SFU is transit.

    STFU already...

What are the other ways, I ain't taking no taxi if you suggest that.

  3. teachers should be expected to show up and reprimanded if they dont, like any other occasion where a teacher simply doesnt show up. As for the students, it be the same as any other time a teacher doesnt show up or is "sick" at last minute. Wouldnt happen very often if teachers jobs were dependant on it.

You seriously don't know what you're talking about. You some old guy from Delta rambling about how things need to change from your basement. Perhaps you need to get off your donkey and go talk to people worthwhile about your garbage and then you'll see half the stuff you crack is complete BULLSH*T. What is your point exactly?? you think anyone is actually listening to the garbage your making up on this board?? if it was that easy the higher management more qualified then you would have corrected the problems long ago...

  4. let me put it another way then, similar to a previous statement. SFU should have a declared policy of never closing and its up to employees and student to get themselves there, and tough tities if they cant be bothered to use snow tires and chains.

You can also bet in such a situation, that some enterprising person will see the need in such a situation and provide and special snow service up the mountain on such days as this, for those pansie that need it.

Most of the people going up to SFU use transit so tell us oh wise one how you're going to retro fit a HUGE fleet of B-Line buses that travel up and down the mountain?????

Because snow service for what 5 days worth of snow is NOT FEASIBLE....... when alot of money has been spent for the buses travelling to and from SFU....... LMAO...

Pansy, so your calling the folks talking transit up to SFU pansies. You shouldn't be talking.

  5. Man the snow out here in Delta is getting close to knee high not there yet but if it continues it will be....

I shoveled my drive about an hour ago and again i've got 5+cm of snow damn it......

    Heavy snow...man huge dump

  6. Packed Down snow is just as slippery as ice.

Also, underneath that 15 cm layer of snow, is ... ice. Dude, don't try to act like 3 cm is ANYTHING like 15 cm. I remember last year, we got a solid 2 feet here in Strathroy, Ontario.

    Ah, good times.

Also, there are hills in Edmonton. Even then, 3 cm doesn't make a big difference on a hill. Seriously, it doesn't.

Also, do you have winter tires? That might be why its hard to get around.. Either way, stop trying to pretend 3 cm is as much as a detriment as Vancouver.

its not even 3cm, its more like 10+ cm here.

  7. hi.

I live in Edmonton Alberta .

right now i am laughing my donkey off at you people worried that it is going to snow 3cm. while already, us here in good old Alberta already have about 15cm of the stuff and it is currently -20 out.

But hey, I used to be one of those Vancouverites... in the happy land of few winters....... those were the days....

    ...I'd be worried.

Vancouver isn't like Edmonton buddy its not as flat, try getting to work by getting down or up huge donkey hills....west van is complete b*tch...I live out here N. Delta and have a couple of huge donkey hills to get up and down from and can hardly do that.....

And the snow here is completely different then Edmonton's, it freezes like hell out here, at least in Alberta the snow is crisp and driveable, while in Vancouver with the ocean and all the snow turns to a complete b*tch to get around.

  8. Man tamara taggert should get off the air and stop doing the weather this chick knows jack sh*t about the weather boooooo same goes with wayne cox these two buffoons don't know squat about the weather yet they give us the main weather during primetime in the evening when everyone is watching

MARK MADRYGA should be doing the evening weather......

  9. No SFU-ers in here?

Left there about 1.5 hours ago, and it was still snowing pretty hard up there. I hope it snows enough for the pond to freeze over again (but I'm not getting my hopes up).

You think SFU will be open tomorrow, I hope not.

  10. What did Mark Madaryga(sp?) say, I only believe him because he's a local guy who's a real meteorologist not like Tamara Taggert who comes off the street to do the weather
