    What I see is a guy, like Edler, who had a long term injury during the off season and lockout and is taking a long time to get his game back. They both only started skating a week or two before the season started.

    Keith Ballard makes everyone look better :ph34r:

    I believe it. I honestly believe he had more of an effect on Tanev, and not the other way 'round (though playing in Chicago was clearly beneficial to his game as well). Now, I'm not one of those "Ballard deserves better than AV's neverending doghouse treatment!!!1!" types but he really has impressed me this year and Garrison's play tonight has been his best all year so far. Hopefully the pairing continues to work in our favour :D

    The way I see it, Garrison's definitely struggled to both live up to the hype of his huge season last year and to live up to his big contract in a shortened season. But when you strip away all of that, I just see a guy struggling with adjusting to playing in the West on a regular basis, where in general players are much grittier and the D is required to be much tighter. And it's only been 15 games! Kind of reminds me of Andrew Alberts when he first came over (they only differ by a couple million bucks :P ) and look how long it took AA to get comfortable.

    I'm not saying we should just accept that Garrison hasn't lived up to his $. I think it's worth discussing so long as there's some perspective to it as well. I thought he had some good moments last game when he was 1 on 1 against Toews but clearly on a whole the D had problems last game (yes, including CDC's pet Ballard who was running around in our own zone just like the other 5 ;) ). Still, Garrison seems like a good team guy though and looks to be improving; hopefully the D shake up won't mess with him too much. Ballard has been fantastic this year so hopefully he can help out.

    looooooool indeed. I wonder if he ever checks back and sees guests coming and going :P

    I think tinychat can be fun but only if there's reason for conversation. I guess it would be better suited during the season or for something significant like the trade deadline.

    Cut a hole in the ice, place some peas around the hole and when the bear comes up to take a pea you kick him in the ice hole!

    We peas are a gentle, non-violent kind. Don't encourage the stereotypes...

    Now back to the chemistry jokes! But not really, I only like them periodically...

    You know what the worst part about CDC during a Canucks game is?

    The gameday thread.

    "he dumped it in nice"

    "sedin dumps it in"

    "sedins got the puck"

    "you guys see sedin dump it in"

    "LA retreating to retrieve the dump in"

    And then, god forbid, someone scores, there is 5 pages of SCORES!!!

    YOU ARE JUST SAYING WHAT EVERYONE WHO IS IN THE THREAD IS ALREADY WATCHING.

    Not ashamed of it but I completely acknowledge all of that. It's useless. But for some reason, I do it anyways :D Then again, there's the downside to when you do have something intelligible to post about the game, it gets buried by a dozen "lulz Bieksa you suck" "WTF was that Bieksa" "someone trade this guy" posts.
