Agreed the new shoulder patches are a plus of the new jersey so I updated my concept to have them as well

While I'm not thrilled that the orca is staying I am at least happy that the word mark is going away (finally) I still feel the same way about it today as I did when it debuted. I'm willing to give the new look a chance before I give final judgment but I'm still disappointed overall. I think the orca could work with these colours but they failed to address the other 2 major flaws of the jersey and that is the lack of green in the logo and the awful font. It still looks so clip art-ish and slapped on just sticks out so bad. Not sure why the resistance to use the full colour pallet in the logo. And the euro style name/number font is terrible and looking mid 2000's dated a return to the classic block font is badly needed. The Canucks have history with that font since the teams inception it's my biggest gripe even more so than the orca itself. I made this concept years ago that I still think looks better than the new leak...

Wow, I knew coming in it was going to be tough to beat the Stamps with them on this emotional high, but this is beyond embarrassing...
Did the coaching staff even attempt to prepare the team before this game? They look like they have no idea what they're doing out there offensively and defensively. All the new players are looking TERRIBLE!

They definitely are. And they earned their record with Glenn as QB..........not Tate.
Yep, Glenn can get it done. So it's not like this is some big break for the Lions. However if the Lions play their best they should be able to beat the Stamps. I truly believe that which either team wins the run game Sunday will win the football game.
Just slightly off topic here for a second, I have to rant a bit at the start time here. I know I might be in the minority of the public, but I work graveyard shift starting Saturday, so because of the 1 pm start time there's no way I can watch the game live now. I just wish they would have kept the normal start time or even 4 or 5 would have been ok. But I guess TSN wants to capitalize on the Eastern timezone too. Still, just a crappy situation for me.

How people can watch this crap is beyond me. CFL players are all the guys who weren't athletic/good enough to make it to the NFL... The entire league is borderline stink, and its near imposssible to watch this slop fest.. Like what the frack am I watching, as I was typing this there were 3 or 4 fumbles, flags every single play, just the most random sloppy crap I've ever watched. It's not just this game, every CFL game is garbage.
I wish I could compare it to Junior Hockey where players are playing for their futures and careers but these guys are beyond that point, they don't care, 95% of them won't even have a chance in the NFL and they know it. CFL doesn't even bother testing for marijuana anymore cause they know all these guys are lazy as crap. I'm going to find someting else to watch..

Impressive play from a badly beat up Lions team tonight. Reilly looks legit! Sad we'll probably lose him in the upcoming expansion draft. The pressure on Joseph early was imo the turning point of the game. He had zero time most of the 1st quarter and looked rattled the rest of the game even when the Lions stopped blitzing.
Woot for locking up 1st place!

Is Matt Dunigan driving anyone else crazy with his commentary in the Bombers Argos game? Jeeze man, we get it. You're in love with Buck Peirce, give it a rest already. We don't need to hear you cream your jeans over him on every play...
Also seeing him stand in on every play taking more and more huge hits just reinforces how right the decision was to let go of him. The guy just doesn't learn. There's a point where you cross over from gutsy to just plain stupid.

B ) Run a quick-out passing play for the yards required
C ) Throw it 20 yards down-field and out of bounds.

Good game tonight. A lot more entertaining than the last meeting. Lulay was throwing bombs all night. Was great to see the O-Line finally giving him some time to do his thing. Got a little scary near the end there, but thankfully Ricky "Butterfingers" Ray came through once again!

Man, the Bombers are unbelievably bad! Near the end of the game on one of the last TD conversions the Bombers literally didn't even move on it. The play started, and they literally stood up and watched the conversion go through. One of the weakest efforts from a team I've ever seen.
Anyway, Hope the Lions/Argos game is a little more entertaining than the last time. We need this win to keep the Stampeders in our rear-view!

Great game from the Lions today. Pretty much everything that has been a problem the past few weeks were all ironed out today.
Great effort, now lets hope the fans start coming out a little more now that we're in the stretch drive of the season. Another sub-par crowd again today.

Good riddance. As much as I dislike the Riders, the Bombers deserve every bit of their horrible season after last years "swaggerville" garbage we were bombarded with every week. God that annoyed the piss outta me.

Definitely didn't deserve that one, but did anyone see that the Bomber player's foot was clearly out before the 1st down marker on that huge 3rd down play!? I was livid that they didn't take another look at that one, so I guess it all evens out in the end.
Oh well, take the win and move on to the next one. Wasn't a great game but the end was a thriller.

BTW: Nice win for the Leos. Defense looks very good. Bighill and Muamba look like the real deal.
I'm actually about an extra 3 hours west of the puddle, but that's the closest "big" town to where I live. haha Sucks, I know.
Anyway, it was a great time at the game. The stadium with the roof open was so enjoyable, it made up for the lame 1st half. lol And the 2nd half beat down was awesome. Still, there was WAY too much green in that crowd. It was actually kind of embarrassing. Just glad the Lions won so they had nothing to brag about. If it weren't for those extra Rider fans I bet you the attendance would have been in the mid to high 20's. What happened to all the Lions fans?
