Yikes. Hopefully for the Pens sake; Karlsson provides… something that resembles last season’s success.

Still hoping the Canucks sign Martin Jones.
The backup role is still an area of weakness for us.
I’d gladly take Jones over Martin! I have this feeling management has a little confidence in Martin. Had a rough go last season, clearly burnt him out. Fingers crossed they see something we don’t.

Glad Van didn’t bite. I have a strong feeling that our last couple GMs would have made the deal.. even worse, they would have given him 2-3 years… easily.

The fan base doesn’t want him so naturally the Canucks will probably take a flyer and “hope he rebounds”.

Extra points if you confess to it after you exit the elevator and apologize with a shit-eating grin on your face.
K… so I’m doing it right.. thanks for clarifying!

People who fart in elevators should be forced to take the stairs for all eternity.
But what if it’s silent… and crowded? Do you get extra points or are we talking damnation still?

Damn, I was kind of hoping we’d take a flyer on him.

I was kind of hoping the Canucks would try and get this guy. Oh well.

Did the initial trade suck? Yes. Was the $ and term always going to be an issue? Yes. Does buying the contract out suck thrice? Yes. Finally, is there a positive outcome? Yes!
But, only if they play their cards right. None of this O’Rielly shizz.. get younger and meaner.

Dang it…
definitely helped the process while on the can…

The more I hear about the Luc.. the more I feel like Van will sign him. I can already hear the press conference.. “he’s got experience, he’s got tenacity, leadership, knows how to throw a hit”… ugh.

well, he was traded for a 1st/7oa and a 2nd/39 oa in 2022 and a 3rd in 2024. he's anywhere from 25-41 goals per season, they're going to need to replace him too for 2nd line wing
Really tough, as Ottawa has no 1st this year, needs a couple goalies Sogaard needs more time to develop and Forsberg is 30 and a career ahl/tweener.
Good call. That pretty well sums it up I’d say. But that’d be tough to swing for sure.

Do we know what the asking price is?

Edmonton, LA, Ottawa , Montreal, there's loads of teams that could use him.
Thank baby Jesus though, been hanging on to him in fantasy, hoping he gets a better team in front of him
Montreal would be interesting. They definitely have the assets to make it happen.

they could re-sign Korpisalo. He had very solid numbers last year.
Completely forgot about Korpi

How many NHL teams are going to bid for his services? None. Canucks don't need to be after him simply because "he is from here". How dumb can this get?
If only he had even a smidge more speed… his hits alone would be worth a league minimum contract. But, he’s slow af. So those hits would be way to far in between.

Hart to LA?
After dumping Peterson, one would think. They don’t have much in the pipe in regards to goaltenders, do they?

Edmonton has to be in on this too
I think both teams need to be. I kind of think he’ll end up in Toronto… but maybe Dubas does a dirty and swoops in. Be funny. Then trading Jarry to Edmonton.

I’d say yes, only because of the hometown stuff. He could be ok (that’s a generous stretch) for a fourth line, bashem kind of play. But he’d literally be the anchor.

NT would be a great fit next to Hughes.
I’m guessing it couldn’t be worse than throwing Myers with him.
