There are many after-shocks still, especially in the area where my mother lives... and they're worried about the avalanche (she lives near snowy mountains with many ski slopes). Amazingly some train systems in Tokyo are back in operation from this morning (per my brother & his wife).

Thank you... no luck with that... her cell phone is down, I kept trying for hours... will consider contacting her parents later on today, though.
Try the Google Person Finder, if you haven't already - http://japan.person-...ot.com/?lang=en
-
I am a Japanese national, currently living in the island of Oahu, Hawaii, proud to be a CANUCKS FAN driving my old van with Canucks bumper stickers & antenna puck, putting up car flag during the playoffs. We had Tsunami Warning since last night which just got cleared... I got a hold of my immediate family in Japan, they are safe and okay. I appreciate for your kind prayer for my best friend who was in the area that got directly affected by earthquake and tsunami, I still can't get a hold of her...

THANK YOU SO MUCH to some of you who sent out kind prayers! My best friend, her husband, and their 6-year-old daughter are safe at one of the evacuation center in Sendai-City, Miyagi Prefecture right now... still lack of food, water, and no electricity but my mother got a hold of her parents, just got the news this morning.
However another aftershock just hit Miyagi Prefecture with 5+ magnitude... I continue to pray for their safety...
