i love how everyone is mad about this pick, you all must have no knowledge of hockey. I'm sure 95% of you haven't seen a hitman game. i live in calgary and have watched this kid a lot of times. he's a VERY good player. great shot, incredibly fast, and a huge hitter. rather that then a small 160 pound ehlers.

I would LOVE for us to draft Leon Draisaitl, Dal Colle would be perfect but its a bit far fetched. Ritchie is a Kassian type don't need two of those players.

PIT, for example, rumored to be interested in Kesler. Would PIT give up Brandon Sutter, Derrick Pouliot and a 1st rder? Would VAN take it?

Price to get Kesler is high. 1. Significant/established NHLer, preferably a C, 20 to 25; 2. Top prospect, preferably a F. 3. 1st rd pick.

Now, that isn't to say VAN couldn't take D instead of F prospect but more pressing need is up front. May just mean having to move a D later.

edler for b.schenn, laughton/or a 1st?
schenn replaces kesler, murray replaces edler.
although i would rather have johansen from columbus

If Sutter is the centerpiece for Kesler, Gillis should be immediately fired. What he should be asking for from Pittsburgh:
Pouliot, Bennett, Sutter, 1st
Ask for more and see if you get it.
This. only way kesler goes to pitts, is if its for those three guys.
id only be happy if we got johansen from columbus

i'm really excited for this guy. he's a monster, good skater, played the PK, and PP. i think he'll be a very good player in the NHL. he'll end up like a Hal Gill at worst
