Signed in for the first time in years to say how much I hate this trade. I wasn't around for the Neely trade, but this is another one we are going to regret having made.
The only way this is in any way useful is if the Islanders fall really hard the rest of this year, so that the pick goes to 2024, and they catch fire next year, and the pick is in the 20s.
I guess it's also useful if Hronek shows really well.
Super pissed off right now.

Yeah, I think Hischier is going 1st as well, but more because I'm skeptical about Patrick's health.

1 year ago, we saw Taylor Hall traded for Adam Larsson. ANYTHING is possible.
As for the pick at #5, I'm liking what I'm hearing about Glass, Mittelstadt, Vilardi, Makar, Heiskanen, even Pettersson. And if Hischier can drop to us, even better. I think Patrick is risky. I didn't like Mittelstadt at first, but hearing that he has elite hockey sense, and that he's already over 6' 200lbs, I decided that I can get on board with him.

So are there any legal experts who have suggestions to sue real estate agents for colluding to drive up prices? I'm not affected, but I know people that are. There should be something available to the average working class to sue agents who have deliberately found loopholes and exercised fraudulent strategies to drive up prices for their own personal gain.
And can we sue the clients who have benefited from this practice as well? People are over-extending themselves, and gotten themselves into awful purchases out of necessity. And real estate agents and people halfway around the world are laughing to the bank at our expense (and when I say our, I mean legitimate Vancouverites).

Kind of wish we could make a trade with Buffalo. Might cost us less than #1. If Florida takes Reinhart, Ekblad would be fantastic. If Florida takes anyone else, Benning gets his target.

I just caught the last few minutes of it. It was hilarious. Probably staged though... UFC and Sonnen gets pretty good press for this, and OTR will probably get way more website hits from American viewers.

Funny... Serena feels wronged by the one point... so if she had gotten that one, it wouldn't have guaranteed her the game (being a game point for Stosur, it would have meant deuce at best). And even if Serena had won that game, Stosur dominated her otherwise.
This was frustration rearing its ugly head.
Serena deserves every fine that's coming her way. A true champion would have shrugged it off, and believed in his/her skills to come out victorious.

Another angle... is Allvin trying to raise the bar for his own players? I.e. if Hronek is worth x+y then certainly, OEL, Miller or whomever must be worth x+y+z
