    I'd say give Torts one more year run at it

    Cancuk's woes started after our 2011 playoff run: lack of scorring, poor PP and our goaltending saga. They look deflated after our Cup run and Vigneault couldn't bring this team back to pkay with heart. I've never been a big fan of Gills and I'm sure he tried his best but he wasn't unable to provide the proper players for this team. So the change has been made and with Trevor in, I am sure we will see some interesting changes. I'm looking forward to see who he will surround himself with as for staff, coaches, scouts, etc....

    Torts brought the Tampa Bay Lightning to a Stanley Cup after 3 years as coach

    > 2001-02 > Lightning 26th in League

    > 2002-03 > Lightning 13th in League

    > 2003-04 > Lightning 2nd in League & went to win the Cup.

    So let's see what happens, and whatever our Management team does it will happen sooner than later after a thorough exit interview with all players & coaches.

    I get that you want a higher draft pick, but why would you want the team (and Marks in particular) to get a beat down?

    i suspect the guys will be inspired by Linden's jumping on board and they will play very hard. Although I find it repugnant to cheer against my team, I would rather see a good effort even if a loss is imminent.

    Who cares about a higher pick in a weak draft year, the best we can do if we lose all 3 remaining games would be 6th in the draft lottery

    And who knows, may be Trevor will show us some wizardry with some trades on draft day.

    Since the players are auditionning for next year line up and Trevor in the president's box, the guys will want to play hard. And which fans anyway want their Canucks to be losers ?

    If Canucks lose tonight ... then we are FINALLY mathematically eliminated from a playoff spot.

    Right now we sit # 6 for draft lottery pick - Winniped & Ottawa have won their games today and both have 80 points to our 79.

    C'mon MG make a trade with Buffalo to get their 1st and 4th round picks :shock:

    But still want my Canucks to beat LA tonight

    We need all the points we can get and LOTS of prayers that Minny and Dallas keep losing like the Leafs are.

    Won't be watching the game tonight as I am going to see the "Blue Man Group" at QE

    FYI : Toronto led Detroit after 1st period 1-0 and are now behind 3-2 after 2nd .... if they lose that will be their 8 lost in a row and that is what I'm hoping for Minny and Dallas for the rest of their season. I don't think we can catch up Bettman's team as they are hot right now.

    But we definately need to WIN :towel::towel: So Go Team Blue !!!!

    Finishing with 94 points would mean winning all of our remaining 10 games...

    That's not gonna happen.

    The more realistic best case scenario is going 7-2-1 and finishing with 89 points. That would mean Dallas has to go 5-7 down the stretch, and Phoenix would have to go 4-6-1.

    Both very unlikely, but we'll know alot more by Wednesday after Phoenix and Dallas complete their back-to-backs.

    Scenario Standing after Canucks win today, back to back loss from Phoenix to Rangers & Penguins, back to back loss from Dallas to Winnipeg & Chicago, means Winnipeg gets 2 pts for their win against Dallas .. the standing on Tuesday evening would be :

    Phoenix 79 pts with 73 games played

    Dallas 77 pts with 72 games played

    Vancouver 76 pts with 73 games played

    Winnipeg 75 pts with 73 games played

    This makes the end of the season very interesting.

    I haven't given hope for my Nucks team to make the playoffs

    Luuuuuuuuuuuu is possesed tonight

    c'mon guys we have to shoot more in the third

    we hot outshot 18 to 6 in the second

    Luongo so far with 35 shots in 40 minutes of play

    Usually that is a 60 minutes shot total

    Damn .... Luongo totally possesed tonight

    Win or Lose ....he's the first, second and third star

    But of course we'll win this game
