GM: Bring back Burke he'll get deals done and even fleeced other teams. And no BS excuses like ''its a process''

Coach: Torts is ok but his style doesnt fit this team and he brings lots of drama/distraction. Get someone like Laviolette: stanley cup champion as a coach, 2 stanley cup finals appearances..and without the drama torts brings.

Gillis and ownership wants the canucks to get to the playoffs but didnt do anything about upgrading the offense.
This team will not make the playoffs with the current roster they have especially if daniel is out for a while. Just tank and get top 5 pick in the draft then deal Kes/Edler in the off season.

This is a good trade for canucks. I'' give Gillis this one as a win trade by him.
- Lu doesnt want to be here and he's signed for long term. Now Canucks got rid of that
- Lack/Markstrom would be great tandem moving forward.
- IF matthias is included then canucks get their 3C

Gillis should try Columbus first, then philly then chicago (saad/tervainen). Dont waste time with PITS if they dont want to give up maatta or Detroit if they dont want to deal nyquist + mantha

Lack is the present and future goalie of the canucks..This is good on Gillis part to try and trade him again. Luongo is good now but he's getting old with long term contract. By the time the retool is over and horvat becomes legit top 6 in the nhl, luongo would be older and declining.
Just dont take any cap dump back. Picks or prospects are good enough.

put edler on pp over garrison. dude cannot hit the net..good on defensive end but such a huge downgrade from salo/erhoff offensively.
Whenever Salo blast a slap shot, you know its going in while garrison, its expected that he'll shoot it wide.

Columbus and Michigan are super close. The short commutes in the Eastern conference would be appealing too.

As much as everyone loves the sedins and want them to be canucks for life, it should be them
They are declining and getting older. Few more years with high cap hit for each of them wont do the canucks good.
Keep Kesler and make him C and trade the sedins. They have lots of value to contending teams. Playoff teams know adding sedins to their roster will make them instantly heavy favorite to win the cup. But knowing Gillis he'll keep the sedins whom he just signed to long term with high cap hit.

so you're writing this season off even before the trade deadline?... I would wait until this offseason to see what he does first before pulling the plug on him... besides, who would be your ideal replacement of him?

LEGIT top 6 scorer needed for 3 years now and Gillis didnt do anything about it.
After another failed season, Gillis will say his usual excuses " its hard to make a trade", " its a process ", " Time to reset again" and his followers will believe every word of it.

He keeps giving out NTCs like candies and he wont ask any of the players to waive them to improve the team lol.
Get rid of Gillis before he gets desperate at the deadline and trades away ppl without ntcs aka horvat/shinkaruk for a ballard type players.
Gillis is NOT good at trading. Kinda scary what kind of return he'll get if he ever pulls a big trade at the deadline. He'll likely get fleeced.

with what offense? You didnt upgrade the offense at all. Just tank, its better than missing the playoffs and finishing 9th in the west.
