Burrrr! Hot out there tonight!

It may be a good thing for Team Canada that Alex Burrows was not born in Sweden. What amazing chemistry he has with the twins! He complements Daniel and Henrik, so well. Just imagine if Vigneault never had the epiphany that led him to put Burr with the twins. Although the way AV has juggled lines in the past, I guess he was bound to put them together at some point (which reminds me, AV sure doesn't juggle like he used to -- but why would he do that now?) Hat tricks in consecutive games is pretty impressive for a guy who's not on either the first or second PP unit (did you think I was gonna say impressive for a guy who was in the ECHL a few years ago -- that too!) Way to go Alex!

Nice to see Roberto get the shutout. He earned it too based on how he held the fort in the 2nd period. He's had several shutout-worth performances lately so it's about time he was rewarded.

Henrik is all alone now leading the league in points. Can he leave Thornton, Gaborik, Crosby and Ovechkin in his dust?

I notice Mason Raymond play with some chippiness tonight, which is a nice addition to his already strong repertoire. I thought it was classy of him to give kudos to Bryzgalov kudos for the save he made on the penalty shot.

The replay on the play where Rome was injured was hard to watch. It looked to me like his head bounced off the ice. I don't know if he did, but seemed like one where the player should go to hospital. I hope Rome's alright. Nice to have Lukowich waiting in the wings.

Did that puck hit Kesler where I thought it hit him? I guess that won't have a lasting effect except maybe if Ryan plans to have more children.

The Sedins, Burrows, Luongo all had their praises sung tonight. Hodichuk and Glass should get a pats on their backs for their dirty work as should Salo for returning to the game after his injury. My choice for Unsung Hero is Alex Bolduc. He was 6-3 in the faceoff dot, and excellent on the penalty kill. Both were key contributions when you consider it was 1-0 until late in the second.

Bring on the Flames -- we're should be hot enough to put them out!
