  1. Where is the two biggest mistakes in Lu and Schneider?
  2. You're an idiot. The guy who almost single handedly brought this team out of the slums and has been nothing but a team player and the true heart of this team and the reason they have almost always been a lock to make the playoffs since he has been here did not deserve the start in one of the most highly touted and anticipated games in Canucks history? Lu deserved to play this game as much or more so than any other player on the team. To think otherwise is pure idiocy. But it true Canucks fashion the management contiues to crap all over their players. No wonder why no big names want to play for this team. Lu has been the true heart of this team for nearly a decade now and all half the fans and managment do is treat him like a piece of dirt. When Lu leaves this team it will be a sad day in Canuck history. He deserved this start don't kid yourself. Moron....

  4. Ahahha awesome, thanks for pointing that out. Probably some dude learned to use a tattoo gun in prison but never learned how to write....
  5. That by far top ten cheesiest tattoos ever. All Boston hate aside.... Thats chedder!!!
  6. Garrison also wanted to come here as Canucks last I checked were atop his short list. You'd have to be a space cadet not to be able to sign two players who wanted to play here that badly.
  7. You ask those questions but yet every one of those things happened so I would think the answer should be quite obvious. You forgot to mention that the Canucks have been playing in arguably the worst division in the NHL as of recent. I honestly do not think the team MG has assembled since his tenure in Van is good enough to win a cup. You speak of trimming the under performers you usually start at the top and work down. MG is the top of the food chain next to the owners and in my mind should be the first to go. I also believe Lu had a huge part in making this team, not just AV look far better than they actually are. Can Schneids do the same? Not in my mind but only time will tell.
  8. No because all Mg has done is made a few mediocre trades, signed a few mediocre players and continuously throw the youth away. The only meaningful contracts he signed were guys with previous ties to the team under the Burke/Nonis era. Then he completely botches the goalie fiasco. All the people that say Schneider is the man are in for a huge awakening. So far he's been nothing but a bedcrapper. Lu is seemingly more and more un-tradable given his moronic contract. I honestly cannot think of one single big move MG has made. How about Sundin? Look how great that worked out.... Give a guy 5mil to float around for half a season. The guy is way way way over rated and a very mediocre GM at best.
  9. I am far more under the impression the players are the ones that underachieved. When is the last time you seen this team up their game when it mattered the most? Yeah they got a few awards, so what. Last time I checked the only award that counts is the one no Canucks team has ever had. I do agree with Lu making AV look good maybe for his Jack Adams trophy year but other than that not so much. Schneider never made av look good, thats baseless to say the least. The guy has maybe played a full season combied since he has been here. He stole a few games but crapped the bed hard when it mattered the most. AV may not be the only reason for their "success" but he was a big part of it. If you think differently then there truly is nothing more to say. Any fan with half a brain watched him play a huge role in turning this franchise around. Gillis on the other hand did what? Made a couple mediocre trades, signed a few contracts. None of which were really all that stellar. The only players he got a bargain for were the ones that had previous ties to the team under Burke. The Canucks lose AV and soon Luongo. This franchise will be in decline soon. Mark my words.
  10. In my opinion we will see the Canucks become mid to bottom feeders in the NHL with AV gone. Especially with the realignment. MG should have been gone before AV.
  11. CLASSIC THREAD,,, DO WE REALLY WANT HIM???? HELL FUNKIN YEAH WE DOOOOOOO!!!!! GOOO NUCKS!!!
  12. My opinion is this, although i do not support the war in Afghanistan i do support each and everyone of our canadian troops. The reason i support them is because they have the courage to fight for something they belive or in some cases do not belive in. A courage i think i will never truly understand and one that i am ashamed to say i think i will never experience. If our country and people are ever in need of protection these are the same group of people that will be here defending us in our time of need. On a side note my grandfather was a member of the South Saskatchewan Regiment. He was wounded in action in Dieppe if i remember correctly and sent home. He then went on to have a son in 1947 who is my father. In 1953 my grandfather committed suicide by throwing himself in the path of an oncoming train. My father was five years old at the time of his death and never had the chance to get to know his father. He still gets upset when ever he trys to talk about him to this day. Feeling sometimes of anger i think that stem from having the feeling he left my father without one of his own. The belief is that my grandfather could not overcome the horrors he had witnessed in his days as a soldier in WW2 so he took his life in his own hands. I admire him although i know almost nothing about him. What i do know is he shared the same courage as our soldiers deployed today in Afghanistan and for that he will always have my admiration. In my mind he is a hero i never knew. I could not imagine the things that would go through your mind witnessing the things he had. My grandmother had always told my father that his father had witness some of his best friends die next to him as a way to maybe help my father understand why his father had left him the way he did..... I actually have all my grandfathers paybooks, maps, birth certificate, and military service records. My father gave them to me along with the only picture he had of his father for my 25th birthday, the greatest gift i have ever recieved. My father still seems to have questions as to why he left him and his family the way he did and maybe even a little anger. Questions he will never know the answer. End of story... Lest we forget....
