guys like kes are rare; speed, energy, grit, penalty killing, selke nomination, top notch work ethic every night, durable, 20+ goals. i say give him whatever he wants and get him locked up long term. feel free to disagree but make a list of guys who can do all the things he does as well as he does, keeping in mind his development since he came up and that he's getting better. there's not a lot of guys who bring what he brings at any price so if you're thinking "let him walk if he wants too much. we'll just replace him" you're head isn't screwed on right. this is a guy you hang on to. if the canucks let him go...think cam neely
