  1. Okay, so I went down memory lane last night and started looking at old highlights of the Sedins, and those highlights are so unique in comparison to other star players thoughout the years. However, in comparision to other great players and their highlight videos I think there is a lack of high.quality tribute videos for them (Sorry if you've made one and I'm critisising it now) and I understand that it is difficult to do make great edits. But that is not the point of this discussion. So I have two questions: Which tribute/highlight video for the Twins is your favourite? And which your single favourite highlight of the Sedins? As I am looking for recomondations I will not post a video myself but I can contribute with my favourite highlight. My favourite is the goal against the Sharks in the Western-Conference finals, when Henrik passes it 5-hole to give Burrows an open net mainly because I have never seen any other player attempt and succed with it. So please share your favourites!
  2. It is a really tricky situation, but it semes like Markström is in the beginning of his prime, and I think he could keep playing at this level for another four years at least. So I think we should try to sign him to a 4-6 year deal @ circa 5,5-6 which I think is reasonable. Then Demko will be able to develop this year and next year as well and we could have a situation similiar to the Luongo and Schneider situiation, where we have two number one goalies. Then one of them can probably be dealt at the draft in 2021. At this time, both will probably have a high value, and they could be dealt to whoever needs a goalie at the time for potentially a 1st rounder or more depending on how they have performed. If Markström is able to maintain this level of play it would not scare away anyone from taking that contract for three years, and if Demko can get ca 80 games until then with good numbers there will be an interest for him as well. During this time we will see how DiPietro progress as well, and his numbers so far looks very promising and he could then step in as back-up to whoever is decided to be our number one. Even if it is a tricky situation, it really is a luxury few teams have. Should add that I haven't really considered the expansion draft and protection rules in this analysis
  3. What do you want the analysts to say? I think they should compare him with someone, they should try to describe him as a player and how he could potentially be useful for an NHL team. That could be difficult without putting a ceiling and player comparison. And the Hagelin comparison is understandable? Lookwood looks pretty fast, not the best hands but able to make some decent plays and he has lots of energy on the forecheck.
  4. I've been really impressed with how Gaunce has developed with just one year of pro hockey on his resumé. I expect him to be one of the first call ups on Willie's list this year. I don't like to compare players but I can see him starting the season like Horvat, playing responisble in all zones and when adjusted to the pace he'll start putting up some decent points. Something like 50 games and 15 points. Which would be a pretty good rookie year and something to build on for the furture. Hopefully he can develop into a 15-20 goal scorer who's playing a lot of tough minutes.
  5. Why would you start this thread if you haven't watched Virtanen play? Except 30mins in the Wjc)
  6. Only time will tell, right now everybody should just cheer the guy on. Don't make our fanbase look even worse.
  7. Did not expect this actually, he finised last season in a good way and only has one year left. Now let's hope Benning uses the freed capspace wisely. And best of luck to Booth in the future, I think he'll do good in an eastern team.
  8. Nylander, he's used to playing against men, and if you've looked at the highlights video from the U18 tournament you would see that he's far more superior than Ehlers when he's playing against players his own age. So my guess is that Nylander would probably have 100+ points in the Q aswell.
  9. disgusted by the manegment at this trade deadline, grossly unproffesional. Luongo for a unproven goalie and a shutdown center was the move we were all waiting for apparently. And everybody knows that a shutdown center will help solve all our scoring problems(sarcasm). This move also makes no room for Horvat/Gaunce, as Matthias will be the third line center(I would guees) and the dealing of the whole Schneieder/Luongo saga is even worse now than it was a year ago. I do believe Lack is a good goalie, but remember when people were shouting "trade Lou" after Schneids played 20ish games? We were calling those people crazy. But that is basically what the manegement just did. And know when Kesler did not get traded either he will obviously lose value due to the fact that his great contract is half a season shorter and he's half a year older. So know we will probably get the same return on Kesler like Schneider a semi-high draft pick and possibly a 25ish year old "sniper" who had potential in juniors and he'll be Gillis new project.
  10. Well, Santorelli's injury made me misjudge the game slightly. Next time I'll get it right.... VikingM
  11. 3-0 Luongo will be incredible the first 10minutes due to three minor penetlies. Momentum switch and we'll score two before the first break. Third will be an empty netter from Kesler. Kassian. Bieksa, Kesler Santorelli. Booth, Tanev Kesler. Hamhuis Shots will be: 26 vs 34 in favour of the Oilers Canucks PIM: 25 Oilers: 9 And I am 100% sure this will be 100% accurate.
  12. Everyone on this forum is so immature. Poop
  13. Burrows is good and look like Shaw from "Chuck".
