This has gotta to be the dumbest f***** thread i have ever seen on here.
Kassian is doing good for the amount of ice time he has, get off the kids
back and let him play the game he knows how to play. Take your head off out ur
ass, the kids only 21. GIVE HIM A BREAK !! OR GTFO OFF THE BOARD

KASSIAN IS HERE TO STAAAAAY!!

this is the NHL there is no free passes for him or anyone else send him down to the minors now... One tough player is not going to get us where we want to go the rest of the team are feline cats... Sedins dont score good chance we dont go far this year same as last...will see them cross checked to the ice and beaten no penalties will be called the rest you already know..Send Kassian to the minors now...

Not a bad suggestion.. Kassian was doing fine in his first 3-4 games. However now he is just invisible out there, and getting less ice time than Weise. I would like to see Bitz up here again, there wasn't much wrong with his playing during his short stint so far...

In my opinion, Kassian needs to start playing better than Weise, or else he should be a scratch for a bit. They both play the same style sort of, but Weise is solid defensively for a 4th liner and haven't seen much of that from Kassian so far.

Our whole team has been playing like crap for over a month, and a shake up by adding Bitz wouldn't be a terrible thing. What's the worst that could happen? We lose?... Well, we've been doing that a lot lately

because I read the board s see the silly threads and I am compelled to stir the crap...Canucks: This team can not run a score up, they barely beat their opponents by 1 goal, its always a nail biter..I dont think we are a different team than last year but SCP is coming around the corner fast.. Playing Chicago will tell me alot more will see after that game..

Oh and another thing I have watched the Canucks for years and truly want them to win but if they do this year I would be shocked.
So many things have to come into play during the playoffs and if the other teams hit us at will and no calls like I saw against the
wild. Each series is called and managed by the refs more now a days than I have ever saw in the past 20 years..

Its sad that hockey has gotten to the point that is called before the game even starts.

I would rather see Kassian and Bitz together on a line with Lappy. Malhotra can sit. Team already has great faceoff guys in Pahlsson, Kesler, and Lappy; not sure if we need a faceoff specialist.

Daniel - Henrik - Raymond
AMEX
Burrs - Pahlsson - Hansen
Bitz - Lappy - Kassian

Just because CoHo played good on a great team and has been sub par on a mediocre team there is no need to call him a free loader.

Kassian couldnt fight his way out of a wet paper bag. Lucic would kill him too bad because Lucic should be beat up bad.. I hate that kid more than you would know...

You should probably watch some of his fights. He can fight, and has a great jaw. My only concern is he seems to put down his gaurd and welcome getting hit in the face.

Tom sesito who did alright fighting lucic recently got dropped by kassian fyi.

What free roster slots do we have to make this possible ? :picard:

23-man roster stopped at the trade deadline. So that's not an issue.

However, Bitz has missed too much time - he needs lots of minutes to get ready for the playoffs. Leave him where he is until then.

Yes Bring Bitz back and put Hank in the press box for few games, like AV is doing with Salo.
It is very clear that some of the guys need some time to re-focus, you can see what they want to do but they just can't get er done, an example of this is Edler who can't seem to make a pass or shoot without fanning on the shoot, although his coast to coast rush was sweet. but you have to keep that in context because we were playing the blue jackets. I feel bad for Hank he just can't pass the puck, so why can't he shoot ithe puck instead hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I don't know!
Raymond granted he is comming back from a broken back, can't score he has been every where and hit a billion post but the puck won't go. Keep working Raymond the goals will come!
This team needs AV to flip out in the dressing room and give the boys some MO-JO. get them all ticked off. I don't know anymore, have been a die hard fan for years, but this little blip is some what confusing.

I think time in the minors wouldn't be bad for him at all where he could get some confidence and play a little bigger role maybe for a couple game. Seems he is not on the clear day roster though so ... no!

Actually Cody was clutch this year in the games we needed him there is no reason to suggest he couldnt be an impact player.
He got two assists in yesterdays game against tampa...he could be finding his form...He has been a captain and top elite player at every stage of his career so there is a good chance he will do the same as a sabre.

The whole team has been invisible and you want to blame everything on a 21 year old rookie whom was just traded to this team? Are you as blind as the reffs have been lately, or do you just have a hard on for Hodgson? Kassian is playing limited minutes on a 4th line checking line and doing a good job playing that role right now. How about blaming our star players maybe that get paid millions of dollars to SCORE GOALS on the first and second lines instead you fool. Do you think if you put your boyfriend(Hodgson), or Kesler, or Hank or Whomever on a fourth line checking line with limited mins every game that they would produce points like they would on the first two scoring lines. Do you know anything about hockey because it seems like you know nothing at all except that your assessment of a player is only about how many points he gets even if put in a checking role playing less than 10 minutes a game.

Why can't people bother with the basic rules of sending players up/down?
Sent from my iPhone Canucks App

It is not my intent to get in circular arguments with anybody. The reason i have avoided saying anything specific is because i know you or someone else will attempt to find an alternate explanation to my points which i intern will have to defend. I see no point in getting involved with the circular argument that is already well under way in this thread. I simply intended to voice my opinion on the subject. In the end either you accept the possibility of corruption and conspiracy or you don't.

Also i find your comments to be very childish. Does taking what i say out of context, paraphrasing and misquoting it make you feel good about yourself? Grow up.

Kassian is going to take a while to develop. Power Forwards always do. Remember Todd Bertuzzi?
First 1 and a half seasons he had 15 and 16 points in a limited number of games.
In year 3 he burst out with 50 points in 80 games.
It wasn't until his prime in 02-03 that he got to 46 goals and 97 points.

Kassian is getting time with the team prior to playoffs. I suspect that coaching is not that worried about him fighting as much as they want to see his ability to play shifts without getting caught and costing the team. MG did not trade for this kid to leave him on a 4th line. His potential is top 6 as a power forward. At 21 and with the limited games to date they have to be patient. Against Minny he had some good shifts as the 4th line played in the offensive zone.

Weise: I like this kid more all the time. This is his rookie season and I see more than 4th line potential. That wrister last night against Minnie barely missed. He has speed, size and a decent shot. Kassian-Lapierre-Weise were certainly not the reason Van didn't win against Minnie. Bitz would look OK there as well. He is playing regularly with the Wolves with some of their top forwards. Canucks must want to see whether he will stand up physically. He will be back for playoffs.

Wow. Awesome insight and so friggin original. THE FACEPALM!!!!!

Op's got a point. This Kassian fad has gotten stale. Dude has been pretty much useless since his epic-Gretzky-like two point night against Buffalo.

Thank god you're not in a position to make team based decisions.

And hodgson who we traded for him, who has more minutes per game than him now as well as more nhl experience is a combined

Kassian is quickly proving himself to be yet another Bernier experiment. He has done nothing since we traded for him, and it comes from a lack of effort, not a lack of knowledge of the system.

He's not skating hard, not making passes, not throwing hits or winning puck battles. Kid needs a wake-up call. He is sucking pretty hard.

If size -- and someone who knows how to use it -- is what we want, bring Bitz back up.

Give Kassian top line minutes in the minors or something.

Sounds like Dale Weise more than anybody.

Byron Bitz is grossly overrated. He joined the Canucks at a time when everybody was bemoaning how the Canucks were soft especially with the Boston Bruins game still relatively fresh in their mind. Everything he did was seen as to having twice the effect. Outside of the two amazing shifts he had with the Sedins, he was not much of a physical presence.

The young man is playing seven to ten minutes per game as of late.

His role is limited.

Let's hope we never lost Hodgson for a young guy that does not even play a meaningful role in the playoffs.

Yeah cuz we can't live without Cody. Undersized, slower than some glaciers, whiner, 1 goal in the last 6 weeks, 2a in a blowout since trade...
