Yesterday I volunteered at the annual Jake Milford Canucks Charity golf tournament. Between loading golf carts and hole in one spotting, I got to talk to 2 dozen Canucks players throughout the day.
With training camp set to open this weekend in Whistler, Elias Pettersson and Adam Gaudette could essentially end up competing for the same spot at centre.
It is important to understand the difference between owning an asset as insurance vs owning it as an investment.

At the 2017 NHL Trade Deadline, Canucks GM Jim Benning moved fan favourite Alex Burrows to Ottawa in exchange for prospect Jonathan Dahlen. It looks like it could turn out to be an outstanding move.
Do you expect the Canucks to be entertaining to watch this season? My vote is yes, and it has to do with our top 6 forwards. Also, shoot me an email if you want to take a look at my list of Canucks tickets for sale. Email me at clayimoo@shaw.ca
The Canucks prospects best the Jets prospects 8-2 last night. While I recognize that this is only a prospects game, it was still nice to get a taste of what the players are capable of on the ice.

I'm eagerly anticipating the NHL debut of Elias Pettersson this season and I'm optimistic that he'll have a successful rookie campaign like Brock Boeser did last year.
Who should play on the first line with Bo Horvat and Brock Boeser this season? Should it be Sven Baertschi? Nikolay Goldobin? Brendan Leipsic? Or someone else?
In September 2015, my son Sean got to caddy for Bo Horvat during the annual Jake Milford charity golf tournament. Sean even drove the cart and offered good club advice.
My son Sean and I got to be in the tunnel and fist bump Daniel and Henrik Sedin prior to them taking the ice before their final home game ever as Vancouver Canucks.
In March 2016, I was blessed to play the organ at a Canucks game and sit in the A/V control room for the first period. I even made the goal horn go off!
The Canucks' 7th overall pick will be returning to the University of Michigan to try to lead his team to a national title. Thus, Canucks fans will have to wait a little longer to see him in a Canucks uniform.
