Canucks 4 - 2 Predators F - Game 65 - 03.07.10

Near the tail end of their 14 game road trip, The Canucks traveled to Nashville to face the vicious Predators.

Both teams came into this game with a loss in their previous match up.

The Canuck captain, Roberto Luongo got the call to start in goal and his opposition was Pekka Rinne.

The game started slow, but a fight between Alex Burrows and Dan Hamhuis changed the pace of the game.

Half way through the first period, Ryan Kesler's pass to the front of the net found Alex Edler and he scored the first goal of the game for the Canucks.

Shortly after, The Preds captain, Jason Arnott scored to even things out at one.

In the second period, Jordin Tootoo knocked in his own rebound over Luongo to give Nashville the lead.

Roberto Luongo made a few big saves and gave his team the chance to comeback once again.

In the final 10 minutes of the game, Mikael Samuelsson's shot bounced in off of Rinne for the 2-2 goal.

Minutes later, Jannik Hansen scored on a breakaway to regain the lead for the Canucks.

With the time ticking down, Henrik Sedin scored the 4-2 empty netter to seal the game for the Canucks.

The Canucks are now two games over .500 and with another win or two, they'll fly back home laughing for this successful road trip. :towel:

Up next for the Canucks are the Colorado Avalanche. That game is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 6pm and it can be seen on Rogers Sportsnet.
